Not sure I've seen a copy of GQ in 10 years time. That's some cutting edge journalism right there.

Yup!

That explains bocce, bowling, dodgeball, etc.

I thought most cool people stopped playing dodgeball after elementary school? No?

I guess I need to sell my clubs and take up water skiing.  Same level of activity according to this chart, but much cooler.   I need a magazine to tell me what is cool so I can do it.  As well as make sure to buy the $1000 sweaters and jeans that are in every issue.   I don't need to eat.  I need to look cool and do cool activities.

I think you're reading the chart wrong. Both golf and water skiing are equally douchey, but skiing is much more strenuous. Maybe we need a douchey and strenuous chart for TST thread topics. Vigorousness can be substituted for most likely to result in Internet brawling.

Cricket and billiards cooler than GOLF ?!?     That's probably the correct perception from non-golfers (I can tell you it was mine up until 5 years ago).  Perhaps the most disturbing is that golf is only slightly cooler than badmitton ....

Bocci ball is actually pretty awesome.

It's a fun game, doesn't make it cool. [quote name="k-troop" url="/t/83532/my-fellow-douchebags-how-douchey-is-your-favorite-summer-sport-gq#post_1177084"] I think you're reading the chart wrong. Golf is significantly more douchey than water skiing on this chart.

It's seen a huge hipster resurgence. My ex GF actually plays in an adult kickball league. Hipsters are also trying to bring back summer camp for adults.

They are NOT hipsters.

They are suffering from Peter Pan syndrome.  They don't like the fact that they have grown-up and face the reality of responsibility etc.  They are merely trying to relive their youth.

Anyone who can't accept their age by definition is not cool - they are dweebs.  Just my two cents. ;-)

Having said that, I maintain that most moronic magazine's view has no bearing on what is cool and what is not.  It must''ve been sponsored by Metamucil.  Isn't Bocce popular game among retirees?

Yes. That's why I say it's not cool.

Yes, especially in areas considered "Little Italy" section of a community.

If I was trying to relive my youth, I would be trying to catch frogs and salamanders to stuff down my brother's pants when they were not looking. Hey! Wait a minute! That does sound like fun.

Golf, badminton and cornhole.. dang! All of them have touched my soul at some point of the other and all on the super douchy side. Validates what I have known all along deep inside of me but was in denial. Makes me go back and remember all of those who have ever called me a dbag.....them folks be clairvoyants.
