77 front 38 back 39, par 72 rate 73.4 slope 139

One of my better rounds for quite a while, could have been even lower if I didn't double the last hole.

managed a 48/39 on a par 71...for a 87 ..which basically says. I need to show up early, do some driving practice, iron practice, wedge practice and some putting practice.....oy vey..ciest la vie and all of the french stuff...So that I  do not  suck.

+8 43, played pretty bad. Only hit 1 green. Couldn't find any feel for anything in the swing.

Had 6 irons shots that were thinned or fat, just no consistency at all. It might be time to put the clubs away from playing golf and just start going back to working on the 5 keys.

78 from the tips and it was cart path only, no roll whatsoever so a lot of long irons.I actually was very pleased with how I struck the ball, esp with my long irons but I putted like a blind man missing everything but 1 5 foot birdie on the last.  Must've missed 6 putts < 10 feet and 3 <  5 feet

I was only able to finish 6 holes cause of night time, but I was +3 after the 6. My best guess is the remaining three would have gone another +2. +1 if I was lucky.

78.  First time under 80 this month.  :)

Memorable because I had a stretch of four holes where every shot came off almost exactly as I wanted.  Felt great!

...Then I played +4 for the final three holes. :(

78 played 20 holes in 3 hrs walking n jogging. Kept me from focusing on all those little things like the swing and more focused on target. This what last hole looked like at end

I got nine in late yesterday. 41. Mixed bag. I hit some great shots and parred all the holes I hit in reg, but couldn't buy a birdie and didn't have any up-and-downs.

Played yesterday. Driver pretty good after a couple of off rounds with it. But the irons were only so-so and did not help  me out at all. Putting was also off. Overall, as the season winds down, I am pleased with where I am at after a three year layoff from golf. I am essentially back where I was when I stopped. Now, to work on the swing and get ready to shoot in the 70's next year! Thinking of going Stack and Tilt next year to help get to the next level.

Eighty fricking three.  20-30 mph winds gusting with rain and no roll whatsoever due to rain past few days.  Played from tips and waited 15 minutes for each shot. Not a fun round

I decided to skip golf this morning.......slept in, and then took my 11yr old son bowling from 12:15pm-3:15pm....We each bowled 12 games.  This was my best game today...

Not too shabby.....

I decide to play golf afterwards...I didn't get to the course until about 4:15pm....I figured I could play 9 with no problem because it gets dark at 6:45.  I played the front twice....I paired up with another single both times...we each had our own cart and hauled azzzzzz......and I played 18!  Gotta love it!!

41-37=78

Today was a success......I bowled some nice games, played decent golf, and the buckeyes won their 19th game in a row!!   I DVR'd the buckeye game and watched it after playing golf ;-)

PS...my son is actually a pretty good bowler for an 11yr old....the above game was his 2nd worst game of the day!!   he averages 170s-180s.

The little guy took me to the woodshed in this game last week.....LOL

The little dude can get hot.....11yr old kid, and he struck 9 in a row on me..LOL

37 on a par 36. Casual 9 holes with my wife (then she said she was tired).

Sort of a weird nine holes because I was pulling my approach shots slightly left of the greens (except one that missed 40 yards left from 125 yards...Ouch!). Hit the driver and woods just fine. Missed every green but one and left a pretty easy birdie putt an inch short on that one. Made some good par putts though with the longest about 12 feet on the green I missed by the ridiculous 40 yards.

I wanted to work on my winter time chipping techniques and at least I got a lot of practice by missing that many greens. :-D

48 over 9 holes, playing by myself on an empty course (thanks to the Patriots game I was following on my phone).

Carded my first ever eagle after holing a 30 yard pitch! That was a lot of fun, and definitely the highlight of the day. The 48 goes to show how poorly played the other holes were.

My driver was under control today, which has been a big problem for me. Only one slice, and I know exactly why. My hybrids were slicing everywhere, though.

    • I know you guys were discussing this like a year ago. But, ironically I just had this discussion with my brother-in-law. We literally just did one of these. I'd always used the "Slow-Cook, Rest, and Sear" Method. But my bother-in-law was convinced the "5-Min/lb, 500 degree" method was the way. So, we gave it a go. I have to say it came out great.  I have a 25 year old, electric oven, GE brand... Not sure if that matters, but it came out great. ... Of course we stressed that nobody was to open the oven.   I don't make these all that often so, I'm not sure if I can fully recommend one method or the other, because without doing a Pepsi Challenge, I'd say both ways come out great. 👍😁👍
