I guess Jason Day? Maybe DJ? If DJ had won the Fed Ex Cup I think he would have had it won, but I guess Day now has the edge even though he hasn't really done much since the Players and has no majors. Tough call. No clear winner.

It's happened a few times with Tiger, but Tiger usually won 5 or 6 times that season. Jason hasn't won that many times this year. Is 3 victories enough? I didn't realize DJ has 3 wins, too. I thought he only had two. So my guess is DJ is probably the likely POY with a major, a Fed Ex win and a WGC.

I think DJ, he's finished Top 10 in 15 our of 22 events compared with Day 10 out of 20 events, both won 3 times, but one of DJ's wins was a Major.

My vote would be for DJ, but I reserve the right to think about it some more and change. Really a tough question this year.

This is an actual debate?  Dustin Johnson is the player of the year.  He and Day were the only ones to win three tournaments this year, and one of DJ's wins was a major.  Case closed.

I'd give the edge to Rory, by winning the last tournament, plus the fedex cup..... which put him in a tie for wins with DJ, and Jason Day..... but ahead in total money won for the year.....

I think DJ hands down, overall he had a great year, not just a strong finish like Rory
