Looks like Rory is switching to Callaway woods and irons, Titleist ball and wedges, and Odyssey putter.

That's a shock to me; sure looked like TM had a leg up but still, I always assumed he'd go back to Titelist.  I'm guessing the dollars involved helped sway him.  Curious how long the transition will take.

interesting that is says "Though McIlroy has not agreed to new endorsements" in the article. If this means hes just playing the clubs that are best for his game, and there is no money involved. Surely this is 100 times better advertising for callaway and titelist than any other player that they pay to play there clubs.

Interesting move by Rory.  What I'm most interested to hear more about is the switch from the M2 he played at the end of the season to the Callaway Epic.  I have to assume there was a performance benefit there otherwise he wouldn't have switched.

He'll still be paid by Callaway and Titleist but won't be under contract with either of them.

Did Callaway retain the Apex name when they sold Ben Hogan to Perry Ellis?  Inquiring minds are like, you know, wondering.

In der bag:
Cleveland Hi-Bore driver, Maltby 5 wood, Maltby hybrid, Maltby irons and wedges (23 to 50) Vokey 59/07, Cleveland Niblick (LH-42), and a Maltby mallet putter.                                                                                                                                                 "When the going gets tough...it's tough to get going."

Rory's new irons

The finish work in the crease could be better. Not that it matters for Rory, but on the shelf it would look a bit unfinished.

Rory's new Odyssey putter. He has used mallets sporadically in the past, mostly sticking with an Anser design.

Wonder how much he's getting paid for that bag sponsor. :-P  Reminds me of Ricky Bobby's car for his final race:

Well, it looks like he's comfortable enough to switch to Callaway's O-Works line of putters, which I'd interpret as a good sign. That new insert seems super funky, so if he feels comfortable gaming that and going away from his Scotty Cameron safety blanket, it's probably a good reflection on where he feels his game is.
