January 17 Day 17 Practiced putting for 10 minutes working on starting the ball on line. Then played 9 holes at Juliette Falls. I shot two over par 38 which is not too bad considering the weather was in the low 50s.. and windy.. hitting 7 GIR (78%). My Goal for 2018 is to average 70+% GIR so I was happy!! Indoor work for the next two days as it will be very cold -- for Florida.
Watched American Made with Tom Cruise, which is based on a true story about CIA supporting Nicaragua contras while turning blind eye to drug smuggling. Very entertaining. Tap in birdie.
Now I will watch Kill the Messenger about a reporter who uncovered the CIA's role in importing cocaine into the U.S. to support contras.
I am embarrassed to actually write this...couple years ago I was struggling to get back into the game consistently and I couldn’t hit the ball anywhere near straight. I got so frustrated until someone told me about Polara Golf balls. They re-correct if aligned properly and therefore fly straightish. I secretly bought a box even though they are non-conforming and went to play a late evening solo round. I was so disgusted with myself every time I teed them up I couldn’t even finish the round. I never even used a sleeve. Immediately ditched them and went back to proper golf balls. Still feel like I lost a piece of my golf soul even trying those crappy things...
