Lol only 6 players have tee shots and pretty much every single one has looked more like me off the tee than a professional LOL.  And I LOVE IT.

2 ob tee shots in the first 3 groups. Wow the first is a tough hole, and the weather isn't helping. Reminds me of the feeling when I first played on a links course in Scotland with heavy rain and wind gusts, didn't feel too good going out on the first tee :-D

Yeah seems like every group so far has had an OB shot to the right off the first tee.

Conditions looking a lot easier than in the morning. Stuart Manley in with 68, journeyman pro from Wales. Poulter, Rose, Stenson, Thomas going well. Birkdale looking nice at the moment

Poulter & Spieth share Open lead

Speaking as an Englishman, I wish Spieth well under these circumstances. May he go on to win the Open.

Spieth is being pretty aggressive off the tee.  Hitting drivers where Kim and Stenson are hitting irons.  He's hit some wayward shots but recovered well.

Fairways and Greens.

Really not much rough. Fescue seems more wispy than narly this year. In 08 if you missed the fairway it was basically a one shot penalty. This year guys are able to reach the green pretty easily if they miss the fairway.

The big boys have defintely awoken so far. Lots of top players under par right now.

Holy s*&$...is anyone else watching online?  How many ads are you getting?  I'm having to watch the damn Rolex ad and a car ad every 2-3 minutes....WTF?  They cut out right in the middle of shots.

This is the marquee group stream.

Fairways and Greens.

Speith with a nice 65, although I'll bet he'll kick himself for missing that putt on 18 for 64. Looks like the weather is pretty benign for the morning groups.

Haven't seen many ads on my stream (I'm streaming the broadcast), but it took a while to load and stop being choppy.

Yeah...the regular broadcast is fine.  I was just putting on the marquee grouping which had Spieth and Stenson and listening.  It was unbearable.

Fairways and Greens.

I was up early watching.   It's nice to see Spieth and Koepka doing well.   Poulter, not so much..

The Golf Channel is doing the commercials right..Split screen, showing the commercials w/o interruption of golf.

    • Eh. He broke ONE of Tiger's records. Youngest to be ranked #1 in AJGA. It didn't help that Tiger's birthday is in late December, or that Tiger didn't play many AJGA events before he was 15. • Day 56: 4/19/2024 Okay, even though I'll be teeing it up in a tournament in less than a week. I couldn't find time to get to the range today.  I spent time on the indoor putting mat.  And I spent time in front of the mirror with my 7 iron. Then again later with the driver.  I also thoroughly cleaned all my clubs.
    • Just stumbled onto the article.  Totally random and thought it might be interested to hear other thoughts. maybe I am tired of all the LIV crap and  this just caught my attention.
