Looks like Bubba might be putting something together. The thought of Bubba trying to give a winner's speech on non-American soil rather intrigues me. I sort of hope he's still in the conversation on Sunday afternoon.

How bad will the weather have to get to call off play?

I would guess that either hail or thunder would get them to suspend it. Both of which are forecasted...but the forecasts seem wrong more often than not over there so who knows.

A LOT worse than it is now. They tried to play at St Andrews in 2015 when winds were clocked at 45-50mph. So if they gave it a go then, they'll stroll through 25mph. Rain wise you're gonna need some thunder and lightning which doesn't typically happen over there.

Bubba after tee shot on par 3: "You can't play golf in this weather" :-D It's windy but not even close to being play called off. This is how it's supposed to be at the Open, finally some testing conditions in a major! Bubba just thinned from the bunker..

Bubba offering a mature, professional response to the playing conditions then? There's a man who'll never win a major outside of the American south - or, more likely, on a sunny, Sunday April afternoon in Georgia.

If only it wasn't so windy!

They'd also take a pause if the ball wont stay still on the greens.

Bubba should be thankful he isn't in the afternoon flight today (that is if the forecast is right)

I've noticed Spieth chomping on gum the last couple days. Is this something new or has he done this before? Seems like something he might do to try and relax himself more, and if so, it's working so far. I remember Ernie Els used to chew gum like crazy when he was in his prime. Actually, he still does I believe.

True, but probably not as likely, I think they said that they were 9 on Thursday and likely not getting any quicker with the rain.

Belay that link above.  You need to have a cable TV subscription to watch.  The other two majors this year didn't have this issue.

Had the day off due to guests coming into town but they had to cancel at the last minute.  I'm not complaining about having nothing to do on this particular Friday morning/afternoon.
