Encountered an Uber or a Lyft driver who was going 55-60 in the left lane of the Northern State Parkway in Long Island. People kept passing him from the right and he/she still had no clue, as I passed him, it looked like driver and passengers were having a nice homey little coffee klatch. Come on dude, get with the program.

Rideshare drivers, I give them lots of space because they're unpredictable.

Long Island.

And I toggled my high beams too.

Off-topic but I've been noticing people driving at night with their lights off more than a few times recently and I toggled my high beams at them - no frigging clue. People are dumb.

Driving is the most dangerous activity we do on a regular basis and people are complacent because we do it so much.

I saw a girl yesterday in my side mirror driving down the highway at 70mph with her eyes down towards her lap, presumably looking at her phone. If i had changed lanes in front of her, I'm not sure she would have noticed or been able to react in time.

I look at people who drive slow in the left lane, continue to tailgate even when a safe opportunity to pass presents itself, leave their garbage for someone else to clean up, push their shopping cart to nearby parking space when there's a cart corral a few feet away...  and I wonder what it is that I do - and am totally clueless about - that's as inconsiderate to others.

The left lane on crowded roads needs to be full to accommodate traffic.  The video mentioned it should be used only for passing.  Wrong.

With that if you are basically an obstruction to the speed of traffic in the left lane you are putting yourself and others in danger so don't do it.

Whats so interesting to me is how under lighter traffic conditions drivers travel in packs.  It's another bad move.

I feel most people think to themselves "Hey, I am going X amount over the limit so people behind me can kiss my ass". Well, it doesn't really matter if you are doing the speed limit or 90mph. If people behind you want to pass by, MOVE OVER. I know in Wisconsin where I am from this was apparently never taught, along with using an actual turn signal. :-D

I'm waiting for @boogielicious to make a retort. Although, I have to admit that last month, when I went back, it really wasn't all that bad. @boogielicious must have gotten the word out to the locals to drive better to improve their reputations. :-D

Driving too slow in the left lane is actually illegal. The CHP generally gives them a "Blurggg" type of horn sound to get them to pull over to the slow lanes.

    • Yes, this is the 2024 model. DSG ruined what Callaway perfected for most golfers. A darn good 3 piece golf ball. Now it's a 2 piece cheap ball. To me a 2 piece ball is fine and a 3 piece budget ball is better. I prefer a slightly harder ball, something in the 65-75 compression range that will perform similar to the old Gamer. The Titleist tru-feel is pretty good. I planned on giving Maxfli straightfli a try.
    • Is that the current generation Gamer? Another old standby for a firm and inexpensive ball is Pinnacle.  There are two models, the Rush and the Soft, but I don’t know what compression they are.
    • Good advice, but according to DSG website it is a 45 compression ball. My current ball is the Top-flite Gamer at 70. 45 is too low for me to go.
    • The 3 piece Maxfli Trifli is 2 dozen for $35.  The Trifli does not feel as soft as the Maxfli Softfli, which is why I like it. Other options would be one of the Srixons, which have a buy 2 get 1 free offer.
    • I have been carrying a 7 wood more often this year.  It’s especially handy if you have a downhill lie to an uphill green.  It’s also handy if the rough on the course is deep.
