Yeah, the leaderboard is shaping up for a really good weekend, minus that Tiger is just playing to make the cut at this point.

LOL, announcer on the featured group stream says the players are having something low sugar at this point in the round...as Tiger is walking with a can of Monster which has 50 carbs, all of it sugar.

Sometimes these guys should really keep quiet about non-golf matters

It might be a can of water.  Monster (and many energy/alcoholic drink companies) make cans of their product with water in them, so paid endorses can be seen drinking them without having to actually ingest the product.

I see it from Woods' pov. I'm happy he's playing, he's healthy. My own personal timetable for him actually contesting in a major was the PGA, so this is just the long road of progress.

Kill slow play. Allow walking. Reduce ineffective golf instruction. Use environmentally friendly course maintenance.

That was clearly a water bottle and not a can so you have no idea what is inside of that. I have one that looks identical next to me on my desk except its Gatorade brand. I have water in it 95% of the time.

And, there are numerous flavors of Monster that have 0 sugar and very low carbs.

Whereas you may be right, it looked like a standard can.

I should know, I drink them pretty regularly. :ninja:

Are you kidding?

That was not a bottle.

Besides, this is Monster's bottles of water.

I wanna see a Spieth, McIlroy, DJ, Thomas, Rose showdown.

Hard to see Patrick Reed no being in contention at this point.

Zach Johnson with a bogey on #11.  Should have laid up to a full wedge for his third shot ;-)

Tiger's approach shot on #11 <3

Classic Tiger, amazing recovery to hit a GIR.

Should always lay up to a number you are comfortable with.

Really, Tiger hits those weird shots around things and from woods from 200 yards better than wedges on a flat fairway from 90 yards.

short right at Golden Bell....He may not play this weekend.

And if he does, it's unlikely to be at this course.

    • How do you like the maxfli's? (Which ones?)
    • I am using up my Taylor made distance balls. Went thru half of my tp5’s. Prolly finish the season with axt titliest. But not buying any. I still have a few hundred maxfli balls in my safe.
    • Well you were certainly right about this. Didn't notice much difference from when I switched to the e12's from the Kirkland balls. But today when I first tried the Vice Pro's, wow noticeable difference. Longest drives I've had so far and I think I need to club down on iron shots with it. Kept overshooting the green with them. Great feel and sound too.
    • My boss, out of the blue yesterday, asked me if it ever gets too hot for me to play. I've played in 112* in Phoenix before. Fairly frequently play in mid-90s in NY. Those days are worse than the 112 in Phoenix. I said no. But I'll play in anything. I've played in sleet, snow, hail (one time it hailed on us while blowing a steady 45mph gusting to 55mph - as verified by an anemometer in the clubhouse), torrential rain, high winds, cold, hot, you name it.  Lightning will get me off the golf course though. I'm not an idiot (well, not that much of one anyway).
    • I'm an all weather golfer. Luckily in my part of the Bay Area, it never get's much hotter than mid-70s, and the only humidity fog, so I don't have to deal with hot and humid weather. Most of the year I only have time to play once a week, and it's my weekly psychological break from the daily experience of work/parenthood so I hate to miss it. The only thing that really gives me pause is high winds, because my home course has tons of trees, and quite a few are diseased/dying. Often times when I am out playing and the weather is really shitty I will momentarily question my decision to play, but I rarely regret it.
