I don't think you're using enough alignment sticks :-)

OP was in jest, the instructor in the post is well regarded and his students have great swings. I think I get which is for which. There's one behind head for Key #1, head steady, there's one behind him for Key #4, he's either swinging over or under it, I'm guessing over, keep from coming too inside. Gonna guess the one in front of him is to keep him rotating. Not sure what the one under his knees is for.

He could use another toward his target so that he can start the ball either right or left for fades and draws.

No.

Pretty clear what's going on there.

Most of the sticks are simply for his path. He probably swings a bit too outward, and he probably does that by tipping his head back (hence the final stick).

Pretty simple setup, really

I agree. Actually those sticks make me think less, I've used them in similar fashion, which makes sense because "don't hit this" is pretty simple to process compared something like "swing out to right field", imho.

Initially when trying a new piece with the sticks, it looks good on video. I take the sticks away and start thinking, it looks more forced on video.

I figured he swings too inward and the idea of the near stick to us is to swing it over the stick in the bs and under coming down.

He'd probably hit the stick on the front side if he did that. Plus the stick near his head is on the back side of his head.

Here's a comment from the instructor:

obd1212golf Over on the backswing, under on the thru, head centered, right knee stay away from ball. Did I miss anything?

andreaskaligolf @obd1212golf nope!

You have to think the golf sector is responsible for not a trivial percentage of driveway marker sales.
