I've been very recently introduced to her blog and I follow her on Twitter now. Seems to be very cool with a lot of insight on the pro tour. I think the pros dig her, by and large, and provide her great access as a result. She's not afraid to muck it around breaking some of the news on P Reed and then firmly standing with her sources. I've been impressed with the small sampling I've had to date. Curious if others are familiar or know a bit more about her than I.

I've always liked her.  I think she's a smart, attractive girl who has worked very hard to live up to the unrealistic expectations that were set for her by her parents when she was a young girl.

 I wish I was witty enough to do that on purpose...Back on Topic, I had no idea who Stephanie Wei was until just now when I looked her up.

Perhaps a link would help the other forum members recognize who she is.

Haha, I didn't even catch that in your reply yesterday, I was going to ask you about the details of her childhood, funny. It's pronounced way, her blog is called Wei Under Par (kinda clever). Do you mean a link to her site? Not sure that's kosher. Or, a pic? She's pretty dang cute. I haven't quite figured out how to upload pics from my phone, but I'll work on it. Interesting that not many know of her, I suspect that may change over time, she is really pretty impressive.

I really like her work. She seems to be a good reporter, she knows golf (I believe she played in college), and she doesn't take crap from anybody. Not afraid to call out trolls when necessary, and that's included some of her PGA reporting "colleagues" at times.

Her unique putting style is one of kind. She’s a great spokesperson for Kia and she can play the game when she’s on. I think many people thought she was going to be one the greats – time will tell. Her folks put too much pressure on her.

Falls a little flat when the joke was sprung a few posts ahead, but nice try. ;-)

I don't follow her, I get all the up to date news from all my other Twitter follows, so it's basically just repetition of the same stuff.

Kill slow play. Allow walking. Reduce ineffective golf instruction. Use environmentally friendly course maintenance.

Well, in that case, I guess I don’t have an opinion about this woman, yet. If you give me 30-45 minutes, I will check back after doing some research and give my opinion.

Her reporting is succinct, a little jejune, but readable for sports insights. I see she covered the Dufner thing or shall I say, Amanda’s things. She tells it like it is.

She's a good reporter. Better than most golf journalists. I like her stuff, but I sometimes disagree with her opinions.

I followed her twitter acct, and will occasionally go to her website/blog.

She is way better, at times, than other golf writers

I have been following her on Twitter for quite some time. She is a good writer and provides more behind the ropes information than most of the golf writers. She is funny and whimsical. She seems to have a good relationship with the golfers that like to party (I could be totally wrong about this.).

I follow her on Twitter. Almost never venture to the website because of how much is right on Twitter.

    • Day 6 (7 May 24) - More work in the backyard focused on tempo in addition to setup.  Worked with 6 and 7 irons hitting hard foam balls - used the old MacGregor irons to mix it up a little.
    • No! lol. But they have to be in the right sequence to play mid-handicap golf or little better. Mostly. And even in that there is range/margin for error in the motions and positions that most normal humans can handle. It helps if you have a decent idea of how a golf club moves around the body like you would any other equipment sports (baseball and hockey might be the closest) After all, fairways are 40 yards wide. Don't overthink it. Be diligent in getting basics right. I will concede that it is harder than it sounds but it certainly is not exact angle/exact position/exact degree of bend/exact speed/exact facial expression, etc, every.... single.... time or the result is horrible death.
    • Looking to play in the Severna Park Golf league and it got rained out the first three weeks. I know the course is being renovated so it is not in great shape but the location is easy for me and I would love to meet some other golfers in my area. Anyone here in Maryland Annapolis area?
    • I like to look at the positives.  Overall you are fairly consistent down the center with most shots 20 yards or less off center.  On most fairways that should be in play.  Sure, you had some very short duds, but also if you look there is a good cluster in the 110-125 yard range.  Sure, we would all like to be longer, but knowing your typical shot is more important than trying to hit the 7-Iron 175 Yards.  Just take more club for longer shots and do not worry about it.  Your distances may increase as you improve over time so do not get caught up on that now.
    • Day 552, May 7, 2024 Played nine holes with @NatalieB with irons only from her tees. Didn't really finish out any holes, just hit the irons and approaches and some chips.
