Yes, but Butch is obviously the better instructor.

I think Claude said the player bit? Dunno.

It was Butch:

Chamblee, Butch Harmon said, is not an instructor.

“Look, I like Brandel. Brandel and I have been friends forever. I think he does a great job on TV,” Butch Harmon said. “But the difference is, Brandel is not an instructor. Brandel was a Tour player. And he wasn’t that great of Tour player anyway. He was a middle-of-the-pack kind of guy. He’s got a beautiful golf swing, but he wasn’t the greatest player.”

It's not like being a better instructor gives him a free pass to take shots at Chamblee's tour career. But my point to begin with was Butch himself was not a very good tour player, why would he choose that point as a negative?

Claude III is the one that said the bit about Chamblee having "no chance" to give the instruction and that Chamblee is not a very good instructor.

I'm a huge Spieth fan (not quite to the point of @colin007 and Tiger, but close) However, I struggle to see him putting it back together. He has become more twitchy with his pre-shoot routine (al

He wins!

He channeled his inner Els for the putting and Sergio for the green damage.

Gary Player says he is 'convinced' he knows how to get Spieth back to the top of his game. It's all about his mindset.

The long game is the most overrated part of the game. The most important is the mind.

I don’t think Gary has kept up much with today’s statistics or teachings...

@colin007 all that hate is gonna burn you up, LOL

I'd like to see him win, but even if he does - I don't see him getting back to the top 10. Too many good young players these days, JT seems to be the cream of this crop, IMO.

Did Mr. Spieth personally offend you once?

He still drinks milk and goes to bed at 9pm. ‘Mr. Spieth’ ?

I don't like him. He's one of the few players I actively root against

Any specific reason(s) why?

I put him in the same category as Bubba Watson. I think he's fake and he's a mental midget. But basically because I'm an angry broken man. 😞

I know it is easy, because their age are close as was when they came on tour - but Kaufman has medical issues (elbow I believe), Spieth, IMO, has learned that golf is hard, and I'm going to go with comments by Greller who has been quoted that he needs to go back playing more by feel and stop being so analytical. Spieth was always a little twitchy, but it looks to me like he is even moreso - and although his Masters meltdowns are remembered, it should be noted that there were glimpses of that during his star season. Like the Open Championship at St. Andrews where he missed the playoff by one shot - and he hit a huge pull hook on 18 tee and had to play his approach from near the 1st tee.
His short putting seems to have slipped, but maybe it is just more noticeable when he is missing them for par then when he missed them for birdie; but absolutely it is his approaches that have gotten worse. He used to drop those 15-25 foot bombs, and now he is having to play more often from over 30 feet away and the magic only goes so far.

I'd love to see him get back to being in contention, but the field gets deeper, the competition gets better and I'm starting to believe the Jordan has become a grinder, like so many on the tour; he might catch lightning in a bottle for a week but I don't see him getting back to the top 10-20 in the OWGR again.

And he almost blew the US Open in 2015 with the late double bogey. Had Johnston holed the putt the story would be Spieth blowing it late on.

He looks to me to be seriously uncomfortable over the ball. He twitches and hesitates and hesitates again before hitting it. Just doesn't look right.

I don't think he can be fake and win the tournaments he did.  Now, on the other hand, his running commentary on his shot/swing is a bit annoying.  I think Greller wears earplugs...

Reed shaking hands with his caddie... figures.  Everyone else fist-bumping.  Stay well Patrick.
