It's been out for a month now but the new Blood Incantation album Absolute Elsewhere is one of the best records I've ever heard

My wife and I have a nice schedule of concerts this summer.   A bit of country, a bit of blues, and a bit of jazz.    We just saw the Avett Brothers, a group I wasn't real familiar with, but an outstanding show.  Here's a quick sample:

Next will be Keb Mo and Taj Mahal together:

And last, Diana Krall:

Those are all at the Wolftrap Center, a very nice indoor/outdoor amphitheater.  Then at the Birchmere, a small (300 seat?) music hall, Nick Lowe with Los Straitjackets

Finally, I stumbled onto Imelda May's music, I love seeing stand-up slap bass getting a lead break!  She's NOT on our concert agenda this year, but some day I'd love to see her

I listen to a crap ton of Taylor Swift. Not by choice, but its what my daughter and her friends play all the time. So, there you go.

Taylor's fine. I don't hate it. Kind of gets repetitive.

My bag is an ever-changing combination of clubs.

A mix I am forever tinkering with.

Them's fighting words.

No, I mean, I get it. It really helps to know the stories behind each one. Lyrically she's one of the best in the game, maybe the best in the game. She's possibly the (current day) Scottie Scheffler, except she's had the career length of Tiger Woods.

Yeah, she's fine. Gets repetitive in my opinion. I don't dislike her. I don't love her. She's just kinda there. I like her song "Paper Rings" probably the best of her library.
I'm pretty sure she is like the second highest selling female artist of all time or something like that.

Taylor wouldn't make my Mount Rushmore of female singers.
For me that would be (off the top of my head):

Madonna, Cher, Janet Jackson and Whitney Houston. .... and I might drop Whitney for Brittney or Dolly. ...  Can you tell what era I grew up in? 😁

It's okay. You aren't gonna be right all the time, Chet. You can get this one wrong. 😄

My wife and little girl LOVE Morgan Wallen, so since his new album came out, that is all I hear.  Having said that, Emma has started taking singing lessons so I am enjoying hearing her sing some Adelle and Benson Boone

    • That was a good watch. When I started working on pelvis in the backswing. I thought, this sounds contradictory to those leg straightening threads on the site. Erik has already done a correction. Then the last lesson we went more down the route of feeling the right knee gains flex. It doesn’t, but the feeling keeps my knee position in a good range. Also, I just realized how much extra work my right hip needed to do to stabilize the body with the proper weight shift. Those glute and hip stabilizers got worked. 🤣 I wish this evolution in the golf instruction happened 20 years ago! 😭
    • I've been Playing Golf for: 40 yrs My current handicap index or average score is: 4.0 factor My typical ball flight is: Straight however sometimes slight draw. The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: squirt to the right due to to much arm not enough turn. • The first issue Erik spoke about is something we worked on for my swing during both GEARS sessions. GEARS was showing my pelvis center moving towards the ball during the back swing. I wasn’t the 4” guy though! This forced me to correct on the downswing to give myself space. My hip rotation was to high as well. We corrected it by first getting the weight off my heels in my stance and getting my posture correct. Then the feel was shifting back into my right hip at a 45 degree angle. This kept my pelvis center from moving towards the ball at the start of the backswing. I also didn’t sway back as much as I felt I did because of the angle I was shifting. Feel Ain’t Real. The cool thing about GEARS is as you work on something you can see the exact (Real) change happening. On video, it is much harder to spot this issue because of the 2D nature of filming. But I know what to look for now. Sadly, I was hurt all last year and most of this year so I really haven’t been able to work on it much. I did do a lot of backswing work though.
