I thought it was funny. Case closed. The fact that BK didn't find it funny doesn't make it any less funny. And as I already showed you--it wasn't an "asshole" move after the final round.

I'm with you on this.

I thought it was funny... AND kinda jerky.

I actually really like both BK and BDC. I also like that they don't like each other.

My hope is that they end up in the final pair together in a major. Personally, I think that would be a blast.

In my opinion, DC is a pompous ass and much of his behavior is calculated for his "brand". The guy probably wears the Hogan cap so he had something on which to base his logo. His act probably wears thin on a large number of guys on the Tour. I have not previously cared for BK but I approve of his honesty in saying exactly what many people are likely thinking.

Can we please see these guys paired at the U.S. Open next month?

@saevel25 and @iacasApparently and according to this article depicting BDC’s response to BK’s interview, BDC didn’t say anything to BK—the issue was just seeing BDC, hearing him talk (to his caddy?), and hearing BDC’s metal spikes. If true:

1) BDC said nothing to a guy in an active interview, and

2) BDC merely walked by on a walkway.

Therefore, BK is just being a drama queen.

By the way, this isn’t the only article that has said BK was annoyed by the sound of the metal spikes. The only place I’ve seen an allegation that BDC said something directly to BK was in this thread about “gotta start it on the right line, Brooksy.”

That's what BK should have said to BDC, instead of going all bombastic.  Now that would have been funny!

Perhaps BK needs Zippo as his on-course manager???

I agree. Earlier on in their feud, BDC said BK had no abs, and BK had a great comeback showing his 4 majors saying that, yeah, he’s 2 short of a six pack. Like you said, that sort of banter, along with the fore ant escapade and others, is funny. Here, BK comes across bad. Why not keep it funny?

I'm not sure why you tagged me. I'm down for all of this, and enjoy that they're warring, regardless of the reasons.

Whether or not Bryson said anything TO Brooks, you have only BDC's word now. So, okay.

Well, I think I'd rather sit down and have a glass of wine with BDC than BK.  The former being a much more interesting person.  Though I'd like to get into BK's head from a psychological standpoint to see what is really there.

I would sit with BDC and let him know that he is an amateur with respect to physics and engineering.😜 I’d put him at a 12 HC in the science/engineering world.

Would you bring that up early or later in your conversation?  And would you let him know we discuss him on TST?  And invite him to join the forum...

Because we were discussing it yesterday, and one of the things you asked was whether he had said something to someone engaged in an interview. Just adding to the conversation.

Really? I’m sure many people have found some of their interactions pretty funny. I know I have. The abs back and forth, the fire ant deal, BK talking about BDC’s “calculations,” BDC admitting BK could “kick his ass,” BK’s Kenny Powers & steroid meme after BDC had it out with a camera guy, more of BK saying he just goes out and plays while BDC crunches numbers, and BK saying he didn’t watch the USO that BDC won are some examples of their interactions that folks have found funny.

I don’t think he would have to be told that. While he majored in physics in college, he’s a professional golfer. Him talking about numbers doesn’t mean he thinks he’s some physicist or engineer. I think most of that has been overplayed in the media, not so much by himself. From what I’ve seen, him talking about numbers is just what anyone with a launch monitor does.

I’ve moved past that. Y’all were right. I’m saying it’s still funny to me.

I can just see him and Erik going at it...

Or maybe they would bond over the science commonality.

Maybe you haven't been paying attention. He talks about "physics" on his own quite a bit. CoR of flagsticks, mis-using the term "terminal velocity," etc.

Just now, Double Mocha Man said:

That would require him to actually understand science.

Definitely seems more media/commentary driven to me. I've started to notice the Bryson "mad scientist" takes are morphing into Bryson "hits it really far" takes.

Of course, I also think he plays up the science and physics stuff for the publicity, and marketing his "brand".

Possibly, but from what I’ve observed, he makes mistakes by over analyzing, considering variables that are negligible and going down other rabbit holes that new or wannabe engineers and scientists make. He is learning though. He hasn’t pulled out humidity charts in a while.😀

    • What brand is it? Are there actually items you can't buy online? If you want the Chinese stuff. I'd look closer to home first, even if they are also made in China. Some of the Temu stuff is stupid cheap and I'm not buying it.
    • For anyone in Europe, it seems they still got grips in stock here:  Puregrips   I may just order some myself. Having used only the Pure Pros I'm tempted to order DTX.
    • Day 323: another light day. Just putted on my mat for a bit. Working on start line and a good stroke.
    • Day 143 - Made some swings working on shallow hands in the backswing, a good weight shift, and more hip turn in the downswing.
    • Day 46: Really struggled today, maybe some fatigue from a long weekend with lots of yard work, family time, and two early rounds of golf. I just could not find the ball at all with full swings. Slow, fast, super slow, medium speed, it didn't matter. I was hitting all sorts of terrible shots; chunks, shanks, tops, pulls, pushes, basically every miss was a possibility. Stopped after about 20 balls and hit the mental reset and changed course to "still head" fundamental practice while making easy swings. Hit the ball well doing this. Stuck with it for about 15 balls, and then did a little pitching and chipping practice.
