Titleist 910 D2 used driver that has the fujikura motore speeder vc 6.2 tour spec shaft in it. Basically got a 250-300 dollars shaft for 100 dollars. Shafts got a few nicks on, nothing serious. The club head is a 8.5 degree, so 1.0 degrees less than my current driver.

Been getting a lot of stuff lately. With the sales that TRUE Linkswear has had I picked up a pair of the low top rebels, a brown pair of the phx, and the black protos as well as a pair for my wife. Also, the PGA Tour Superstore had its grand opening and they were giving away $20 off any purchase coupons like crazy… I ended up getting some balls (Callaway HEX Chrome), a new white belt, a couple new grips, two hats, and a hybrid (Cobra AMP Cell 3/4). I also just picked up a new bag, the Sun Mountain Tour Series cart bag from a local golf store (Pete Carlson's). I've always loved the look of staff bags but they are just too damn big; this one fits great on a cart and it's brand neutral so it doesn't matter what clubs are in it (I'm kind of neurotic that way, I wouldn't use a Titleist bag if I don't have Titleist clubs to put in it). I didn't really need it, but it's the exact bag I wanted and it was priced $75 below what everyone else is selling it for.

Awesome pick up. My present putter - Carbite Polar Balanced DC I picked up at a garage sale for $5. It was a belly putter but I cut it down to 31" and put a Tiger Shark oversized grip on it. Excellent flat stick.

3 more multi compound grips for my wedges.  These 3 are different colors - I sometimes have to grab a couple and for some reason having the loft instead of a huge number on the head is harder for me to read.  now....yellow for SW, Orange for GW, Blue for LW  (all the others are red).

I really like how secure these grips feel to me.

My last golf purchase was a box of 6 gloves......I always buy six at a time.  I'm a lefty and insist on a high-end leather glove, and no pro-shop seems to stock the good stuff for lefties.   LOL

I purchased a very nice pair of Etonic Golf Shoes, a month ago. Just started playing in February with Handicap index of 36plus, the group I belong to did not go higher, but after playing 5 times a week my Handicap is 22 and working on that. Well, the Etonics I purchased on Sale for $120, are falling apart at the heels, coming seperated. I do have about 28 rounds on them, but shouldn't they last longer than that? New comer to this site and looking forward to reading, learning new things in my quest to achieve a 12-15 Handicap, to old to do much better at my age and health... Happy Holidays everyone..... Bob

Apparently I am getting the 5SK DVDs for xmas.

The wife was a little upset because she ordered them for me and they came with 30 days of free online videos which started immediately - so she felt she had to spoil the *surprise* this morning so I would get the online stuff.

    • Yes, this is the 2024 model. DSG ruined what Callaway perfected for most golfers. A darn good 3 piece golf ball. Now it's a 2 piece cheap ball. To me a 2 piece ball is fine and a 3 piece budget ball is better. I prefer a slightly harder ball, something in the 65-75 compression range that will perform similar to the old Gamer. The Titleist tru-feel is pretty good. I planned on giving Maxfli straightfli a try.
    • Is that the current generation Gamer? Another old standby for a firm and inexpensive ball is Pinnacle.  There are two models, the Rush and the Soft, but I don’t know what compression they are.
    • Good advice, but according to DSG website it is a 45 compression ball. My current ball is the Top-flite Gamer at 70. 45 is too low for me to go.
    • The 3 piece Maxfli Trifli is 2 dozen for $35.  The Trifli does not feel as soft as the Maxfli Softfli, which is why I like it. Other options would be one of the Srixons, which have a buy 2 get 1 free offer.
    • I have been carrying a 7 wood more often this year.  It’s especially handy if you have a downhill lie to an uphill green.  It’s also handy if the rough on the course is deep.
