I like specialty burgers like " Rounds Premium Burgers " or any other specialty burger place, and I also like "In n out" and "5 guys" type places as well.

But. . .believe it or not, I got a Mcdonalds double big mac and had them add fresh lettuce, tomato and onions. It was a pretty decent burger. Probably location dependent. . .try at your own risk.

Does anyone miss the spicy baconator as much as I do at lunchtime?. Wendy's should bring it back. I could drive miles for one.

My fav burgers are the Red Robin Santa Fe burger and Fuddruckers original. Lets hear yours.

My all-time favorite fast food burger is the Whopper. I love that char grilled taste. And what old golfer (like me) can't forget Sam Snead's commercial, "It takes two hand to handle a Whopper."

My favorite burger from a sit down restaurant is the Cowboy Burger from Applebee's.

Being for South East Texas, my first memory of a hamburger stand was Whataburger ... I still love them today, and eat there prior to my round on most Saturdays

Double Big Mac? That just seems like a bit too much.

Max & Erma's has a very under-appreciated burger.

It's not the best, but it's pretty darn good.

I haven't had one since 1984, but I agree. Excellent burgers.

The best burger I ever had was 6 years ago when I was on vacation in USA. Wish I had taken a picture, it was in a joint in The Mirage casino at Las Vegas.

Only thing is that those burgers are HUGE. Some will see that as a pro, but for me the USA sizes of food in business like that is mostly too big.

The great thing about burgers is that as long as they're not raw or burnt to a crisp, it's pretty hard to mess them up.

A month or so back I made burgers with ground lamb, mixed with some sauteed garlic, rosemary, and feta cheese, then grilled on a very hot oak charcoal fire, served it on a  toasted roll with more feta cheese and tzaziki sauce.  I've had some pretty good burgers at restaurants, but I'm not sure they can beat my own lamb burgers.

I had a similar one at restaurant in dayton. Lamb, rosemarry, beer cheese sauce, pretzel bun.

This comment will get me roasted but I will never understand the love for In-N-Out, 5 Guys, etc...  Maybe because I grew up where places like that did not exist. I suppose they are good when you compare them to other fast food joints.   Any how any burger from this local bar and grill(Big Bull Bar and Grill, Winston, MT) is probably my favorite: https://www.facebook.com/BigBullBar

I don't know if it even exists anymore but "Big Ed's" in Moore Oklahoma was awesome back in the early 80's. "Fat and Happy" in Carl Junction, MO is damn good. But I gotta second Iacas' call about Max&Erma....seriously; good hamburger when you really want a hamburger....

    • Best drive I've ever hit: I will not be answering any questions about the rest of the hole. Or the round, for that matter.
    • I tried hybrids way back when TaylorMade introduced the copper orange Firesole Rescue, the clubhead having been made of titanium which was still relatively new even in drivers back then. I couldn't hit it well at all, and while the success of hybrids suggests that the modern ones must be quite good,  I'm perfectly happy with the 5, 7, and 9-woods.  Early ones of mine were Top Flite Intimidator 400s made by Spalding... and also made of titanium, now that I think of it.  I still have them in my basement. I do bag a driving iron, but it's a one-trick-pony that never sees fairway use.
    • The last time I played Maxfli balls, Dunlop was still making them. How long ago was that? Mostly, though, I used to play Top Flites (original 336 dimple model) when Spalding was still making them. Now I play the Pro V1x. Last time that I ordered some, Titleist was still making them. Let's see how long that lasts.
    • Once, on a course in Middleton, Massachusetts that I used to love but has since closed down,  I hit the wrong half of a huge, UK style double green.  Then I made the hundred foot putt.  Tough to  forget that one.
