Really? Do you have any proof of this? While I believe the shoulders should rotate perpendicular to the spine (in a circle), the shaft of the club will not. Why would it - it's not in line with your arms.

DON'T KILL THE BALL !     Nice controlled swing will eliminate the fat shots and make for far better ball contact.

Also, for me, perhaps the single biggest game improvement factor was watching a Stack 'n tilt youtube video - amazing what keeping your head centered can do.

LOL worst advice I have ever read.  Play at a real golf course with lightning fast greens with runoffs in 3 directions, take dead aim and see what happens.

When your playing at a 10+ handicap, its tough to pin point your spot on the green. I rather take middle middle middle of the green all day long, save you ton of strokes..

But few best tips i have learned,

When your shoulders stop rotating, stop rotating, thats your max rotation. Thought you can get a bit more out of your hips, but don't over stretch the upper body

If you over swing, think 3/4

Keep your head still, i know you see alot of pro's move there head, especially up and down, but thats mostly during the backswing, from there its still through impact.

on the forward swing use only your upper arms and let the rest of your body respond to the centrifugal force of the swing.

Don't try and hit the ball. Swing and let the ball get in the way. Easier said than done!

3 Best tips- 1: read those Illustrated Jack Nicklaus paperbacks from the 70's. 2: When hitting driver, try to see the club hitting the bottom half of the ball- it keeps your head back. And 3: when hitting irons look at the front of the ball. This will help with the descending blow that gets the ball up in the air.

LOL at you....taking "dead aim" is not equivalent to "aim at the pin"......wow....

I have 2, both from my grandfather.

I had been playing about a year (was 13) - "aren't you left handed? you should probably play left handed. I think it would help"

a year later (playing left handed) - "When it's your turn to play, hit the ball. The only unforgivable sin in golf is a 5 hour round with no one in front of you"

    • Day 33 (13 Dec 25) - Worked on weight shift and resetting the left heel during downswing (after listening to a discussion on Golf School this morning on PGA Tour Radio).  It centered on how Jack Nicklaus lifted his lead heel and how long driver champs do as well.  Taking cues from that discussion, worked an exaggerated feel of the left heel working doing some swing drill in the backyard using the 7i.  Wrapped up the session by hitting a few low bump and run shots in the backyard - keeping the process slow and exaggerated.
    • Day 123 12-13 Rotation and getting to lead side work. Recorded face on. Hit a few foam balls but did plenty of rehearsals today.

    • It may not have been block practice, though, is one of the main points here. You may have been serving and from the same place, but you were likely trying to do slightly different things. It seems that would only be blocked practice if you were trying to hit the same exact ball hit to you to the same exact place in the far court. I'm not sure that's as random as if the ball that you're given to hit is at different places, too, but again…
