There use to be joke circulating where the guy, when he woke up would ask his wife "golf course, or intercourse?" She would replay "I put your clubs in the car last night". The guy would reply "great, thanks sweetheart" and leave the house happy. That might show a bit of an addiction.

Me, I am now living 10 minutes from a quality golf course, and spend about 25-30 hours a week there trying to regain some lost form. . I even took my wife to lunch there a few times.

When a day of bad weather allows you to actually get work done and takes the stress off trying to figure out how to get out early so you can get all 18 in...

When people use the word "driver" in a conversation, and you realize not very quickly they aren't talking about the big stick, but an actual person driving something.

I was in the backyard practicing my swing this afternoon with the temp at 20 degrees and blowing snow. Does that qualify?

I do that sometimes

When no chandelier lamp stands a chance in your house.  Every stick like thing that gets in my hands broom, mop, etc gets a golf swing.

...when every time the word "putting" is read you pronounce it in your head  as what you do on a green and not the other use of the word. As in groceries away or kids to bed.

You know you're addicted when TopGolf becomes your favorite restaurant for date night.

They have pretty good food!  Unfortunately, to get into an actual hitting area, it's an average wait of an hour and a half to 2 hours, on a weeknight.

When you wear your golf socks, shoes, shorts and shirt to bed the night before, so you don't miss your tee time playing in the first group on course the next day.

I enjoy going at lunch time.  Usually, no wait.  And, if you go early (say, 5:00), and stay for a couple of hours, the wait is minimal, in my experience.  I've only gone to the one off the 101 in Scottsdale.

I've only ever gone at lunch, and that's the one in Tampa.  It's relatively new, maybe a year old.  Hopefully the shine will wear off eventually!
