Happy Belated birthday!

Amen to that.  I like my Scotch neat (single malt) or on ice with club soda in a tall glass with no twist.  And I love a good cigar, whether Maduro wrapped or other.  Whats your go to cigars?  Mine are Gran Habano Vintage Maduro for an every day smoke.  Cuban Montecristo #4s in the humidor as well as some Padron 1964 Maduros for nicer times (I usually keep an assortment of anywhere from 40-80 cigars in my humidor).  My regular scotch is Glenlivet.  Its only a couple bucks more than JW Black and is smoother, easier on the stomach as I think its not charcoal filtered which JW may be.  Have an 18 year old bottle of Glennmorangie as well.

We drank a healthy amount of wine and scotch the night before Irma and had a couple Cubans to get ready.

I do switch cigars and purchase 5 packs from JR Cigar to get some variety.  My most recent favorites are the Partagas Black Label, El Rey Del Mundo Oscuro, and Punch Gran Puro.  Over the years I have rotated through over 25 different "favorite" cigars.

I have started drinking Johnnie Walker Red  lately. This is my intro to scotch.

Last night I had  some Teachers Highland Cream.  Very smooth and smoky.

I'm  anxious to try other brands of scotch.

I started off with a Buller Rye Old Fashioned. Next was a Glenlivet 12 and Ameretto (a Godfather). Now I’m enjoying a Greenspot Irish Whisky.

I was paired with golfer today I had never met before. Found out he, and his wife are in the same RV park we are in.

Our wives are sharing a bottle of some kind of white wine. Max, and I have no shame, and are knocking off a batch of cheap,  7-11 beer, while reliving our bullet proof days.

I'm pretty sure our wives are ignoring us for some reason. :-P

In My Bag:
A whole bunch of Tour Edge golf stuff......

Yes, the weather in central Texas has been crappy.  No golf so, cold beer works in its stead.  Man I want to go hit the little white devil with my clubs of righteousness.

There's a brewery near my called Outer Light Brewing. They did a limited can run recently of a beer called Juice Bomb Bullshit NE IPA, which I had on tap at a restaurant last year and really liked. I happened to be there a couple weeks ago on canning day so I lucked into a dozen before they ran out.

If anyone's been to Treehouse Brewing, which is pretty famous around here, it's comparable to their Julius beer. Juice Bomb Bullshit is maybe like 80% as good as Julius, but I like that it comes in 12 oz cans rather than 16 oz, and it was far cheaper than anything from Treehouse. Plus I didn't have to stand in line for 2 hours to get it!

In my bag:

Driver: Titleist TSi3 | 15º 3-Wood: Ping G410 | 17º 2-Hybrid: Ping G410 | 19º 3-Iron: TaylorMade GAPR Lo |4-PW Irons: Nike VR Pro Combo | 54º SW, 60º LW: Titleist Vokey SM8 | Putter: Odyssey Toulon Las Vegas H7

    • Day 76 - Pretty sore today, so I opted for putting over my Stack session. Primary focus was on starting line, as my putting has been pretty poor this year.
    • Been a bit of delay in updates but I needed to come back east as my mom's health has taken a serious turn for the worse. In a 3 day span we learned she had a tumor to she has stage 4 cancer and stopped eating and drinking for the most part. She has had a rough 3 months but certainly didn't think we'd be at the point of setting up hospice for her. My mom was never into any sports really other than following the Red Sox because my dad was a big fan. She always cared about what we were involved in including asking about how golf went.  I have kept up with my 5 minutes of daily practice and will go to the gym here in NH tomorrow morning. Despite the somber nature of this trip my family has commented more than a few times about my weight loss so it's important to me to keep it up. I know my mom always wanted us happy in whatever we did so I'll continue with my fitness journey keeping that in mind.
