I've never seen anyone holding a ball while doing AE. Just an observation.

It doesn't appear to me that they have locked down all the dates when classes will be offered so if you don't find something, I'd check back.

Wish I could get one closer to MO. I want to take this class!

I've taken the Express class twice. The first time, I thought, "this is a piece of cake, I've got this." Then I took it again and it made so much more sense.

Did you get charged the normal rate or did you get a pricebreak b/c you were a previous student?

I was thinking about doing this but am saving up for an Edel putter and new irons so hard to justify taking the class again if it'd cost the same.

Unless things have changed, you can re-take the same class at no charge. I can take another mid point class without having to pay, however if I wanted to take an express class, it'd be full price. That's how I understand it, at least.

Ahh.

I'm going to reach out to John Graham who taught the class I went to earlier this year and see what he says when spring rolls around and he's in my area.

That's a good idea. I didn't have to pay for taking it again, but I don't know if that differs from instructor to instructor.

I know @david_wedzik and @iacas sometimes do Aimpoint seminars in Ottawa. Next time they do I'm considering driving out for a refresher course, and just a visit would be nice anyway.

It may depend a little on class size, if they have a fairly small group adding an "alumni" is probably fine but if it's already a pretty full class they might be reluctant to add a student even if it's just for a refresher. More students = less one on one time and that's not fair for the paying students.

Yours in earnest, Jason.

That's why it would be best to contact the instructor.

Yeah, no doubt I wouldn't want to take away any time away from students who paid for the class.

When I did my class, John was doing a morning and afternoon class and I took the morning class but John said it was ok to stay for the afternoon one if I wanted to see something again.  I would have taken him up on it but had something I had to do that afternoon.  Hopefully he can be as accommodating this spring.

DVD coming out in March, eh?  Maybe that'll be how I learn express. ;)

DVD coming out in March. I've seen some pretty good probably not endorsed write-ups out there. I'd still recommend taking the class though.

No doubt the class is required for people who don't already know another version of Aimpoint.  But I feel like if I already have the basic Aimpoint concepts and philosophies down from my Midpoint class, that I very well may be able to learn Express from a DVD.

Erik will tell me that's wrong though, I'm sure. :-P

    • I know you guys were discussing this like a year ago. But, ironically I just had this discussion with my brother-in-law. We literally just did one of these. I'd always used the "Slow-Cook, Rest, and Sear" Method. But my bother-in-law was convinced the "5-Min/lb, 500 degree" method was the way. So, we gave it a go. I have to say it came out great.  I have a 25 year old, electric oven, GE brand... Not sure if that matters, but it came out great. ... Of course we stressed that nobody was to open the oven.   I don't make these all that often so, I'm not sure if I can fully recommend one method or the other, because without doing a Pepsi Challenge, I'd say both ways come out great. 👍😁👍
