I have to say so far I am not impressed with the trailers and TV spots for interstellar.

The trailer was cool, but I have no idea what its about based upon the content. I needed to google it.

@nevets88 you are a dude after my own heart. I love all things space. Loved Contact. Loved Alien. Here's an Inception joke....

That's awesome. Inception had me freaking blubbering like a baby in the scene where Cilian Murphy reunites with his father on his deathbed. I have serious dad issues...

I own Inception and still have not watched it. Maybe one of these days. Though I hear I have to take notes, pause the movie, rewind, and still will have no clue WTF is going on.

its a very good movie.  theres a few scenes that carry on a little too long, and Juno does absolutely nothing for me, shes a terrible actress.

If you can grasp recursion, Inception is not a problem. The kick is the exit condition.

I dunno, I thought Juno was convincing as the student mature beyond her years. I do find her annoying in other movies.

How can you not love this scene of Paris folding in on itself?

But yeah, lots of plot holes:

I went to John Wick a few days ago, I really liked it.  Nothing new in it or anything but if you enjoy revenge movies with gratuitous death and destruction then this one is a fine choice.

I think we should have a TST movie weekend. Every other weekend or something.

Pick a movie, everyone has to watch it, thread just for that movie.

I'll second that.

Or being that it's Halloween, this one is old, 2009, but Nazi zombies :

No movies newer than five years. That way people will have them or can rent them from Red Box, Netflix, etc.

And start a different thread, someone. The first weekend we do this should be the second weekend in November (i.e. 7 days from now).

Mods can add and delete polls, so you could literally poll every other week to help pick the movie.

    • Day 7 - Mirror work, trying to hit that PGA-logo position in my follow through. Mirror really helped, need to film soon.
    • So hit the😝 irons crooked AND play layup golf?? Hahaha.. no thanks. I would rather stay home. 😊
    • First - glad to see these popping up again. Now to the topic at hand - I would rather be option 1.  If I know how far it's going (I mean a yard or two) I can always play to the wider parts of the fairway and/or the green and still do reasonably well.  Now if I could just really hit the "number" that well.
    • Day 2 (10 Mar 25) - Long day of driving to dr appt with son.  Thankfully got in one of my fave putting drills (two ball side by side) - the goal to have both balls come off the putter face equally by having them come off the putter face as close to the same time as possible.  First few rolls - the toe was leading the way as that ball flew off the face.  By the end of the drill both balls were basically equal off the face, rolling to within a couple of inches of each other.  Nice drill of focusing on squaring the face.  BTW - I was using the old Odyssey DF992.
    • Day 161 - 2025-03-10 Got a decent, long session in. Focused mostly on the backswing feels, and moved on toward the end of the four hours (not all hitting balls, I installed a motion sensing light switch in there too, and worked with a student over FaceTime for a bit) on the downswing feel.
