Made a quick run to the store for canned goods and bottled water.  It was touch and go for awhile ... honestly wasn't sure if I was going to make it, but I got back safe.  We'll just hole up here until it all blows over. ;)  Stay safe everybody!!!

:-D

What's funny is I met a whole bunch of New Yorkers at a "NY style" pizza place. The place had the "right" smell of pizza, spaghetti was great. In any case, everyone there was talking about how people from around here drive the freeways.

"They (we) go our normal 80mph, skid a little, then go 35mph or stop. Why don't those ...just drive 50 mph the whole way and avoid the panic in the first place?"

It was re-refreshing getting their fresh New Yorker perspective.

Don't have any problems with rainy days.

I'll give you three good reasons to break out a deck of cards and play Gin Rummy

for hours on any rainy day.

1. One can drink more than playing in the rain

2. One can usually win or lose more

3. If you go home, you'll get stuck doing "Honey Do's"

Feel free to add suggestions to the list..........

It's 37, feels like 28, and the ground is soaking wet.

I'm working when I'm not on here..

and swinging with a kid's club in front of a mirror for a break.

Here in CT, we used to try to play at least once a month. February was the toughest month in get a round in, especially when we had a snowy winter. Today I will play as long as it gets above 40 degrees or so, and no more than light winds. Forget carts - you gotta walk and carry to keep from freezing. I'll hit balls at the heated golf range next to work when snow is on the ground. Winter sucks. Nice to watch live rounds from Australia and the far east on Golf Channel.

Oh man, there is nothing more amusing than seeing the morning traffic report the first day it rains.  Literally every single fwy is red.  At one point on Friday there were spin out accidents on the 101, the 110, the 5, and the 134 . . . all at the same time.

Please....don't get me started on how BAD so. cali drivers are in the wet (rain) or more like a drizzle. First rain I can see being a  little cautious due to the oil conditions, however come Feb you should be use to the wet roads and not slow down to 35 mph on the freeways, and not have to Brake 100 yards before the red light when your doing 25 mph.  Sheesh.

OT, what we really need is a good down pour in so.cali... oh..sorry for being OT.
