I live near San Diego...golf 4 or 5 days a week year round...today it's raining and I'm staring out the window thinking about a wasted day. You guys back East that have real winters with snow...how do you do it?????????

is this some sort of joke? Grow a pair and get out there. We're done until April because the ground is frozen, not some ***** issue like rain! Unreal.

Rain is no problem. Though last year we had to walk off the course because it went from cloudy to the greens getting flooded in under 30 minutes. It was torrential downpour.

Get some rain gear, buy some rain gloves, and go play.

I sort of met it half way last week. I hit a par-3 (albeit a fairly challenging one). After an hour delay due to frost, I got off in about 35 degrees and a wind that gusted up to 20 mph. The first two holes were rough, but after I got moving things got better. The wind was a real pain. This course (Falcon at Kittyhawk Golf Center, Dayton OH), has some 200 - 250 yard par 3s and the wind was knocking everything down.


Still it beat the crud out of sitting on the coach watching football and I'm watching the forecast for this weekend..

I'd like if it was only in the thirties around here.

My local golf course is under 3 feet of snow right now!

I was going to video some swings today with my son, but kept getting text flash flood warnings. We went to the covered range and heard thunder in the distance, no video today.

This was (I hope it's over now) some storm! It's rained heavily (by our standards at least) for about 48 hours now. Good news is we only have one small roof leak. Also, puddles are fun for all ages...

I dunno about colder climes but NYC has had mild winters for awhile now.
