Played my three worst rounds in quite some time last week in Myrtle Beach. Couldn't help thinking about this book today when I was in the car, decided it's time to take a new approach. Happy to say I finally ordered my copy tonight. Really excited to get it and start reading!

You won't regret it.

+1. Reminds me I should read it again.

I'm re-reading mine now. It's mostly because I want to write up a review of it, but also in case I missed anything.

Everyone who has it, please post a review, even if it's only a few paragraphs, if you get the chance:

I agree that many aspects of life can't be guaranteed, but the lowest score website does say "The price includes shipping and guarantees lower scores immediately."  Are you saying this is just BS on the part of LSW?

I have seen many products that offer

The reviews of the book have been very positive, but I don't see a lot of people saying they immediately shot lower scores, so I am not sure why LSW guarantees this as part of the purchase price unless they are willing to offer a money back guarantee if you don't shoot lower scores.

Everyone says the book is based on a lot of statistical analysis of different golfers, etc.  If the shooting lower scores claim had any merit, you would think the authors could tell you approximately how much they would expect an average (or 5 handicap, etc) golfer to improve by following the advice in the book.

@MEfree you're taking the wording too literal, the book doesn't say "money back guarantee" it says it's "guarantees lower scores immediately",   It's a basic marketing technique.  Do you call TM and ask them for a refund if their new driver doesn't increase your drives 10 yards?  I think you're nit picking a very minor detail because of your history with Erik.  You haven't bought the book or read it, yet have made numerous posts about 4 words used to describe it.

Here's a description of Hogan's Five Lessons

Did you ask Ben Hogan how he plans to improve your game instantly or how much improvement you'll see?

Hank Haney Essentials claims by reading it you will;

and last but certainly not least Dave Pelz Short Game is advertised as

Should we write Dave and ask him how much lower our scores will be?

I think you know you're out of line here with all the posts about the books claims, if you don't want to buy the book, don't, I'm sure there are plenty of others that will.

my 2 cents here... this book is great for shattering a couple of myths and it does give you something to change right away. I actually changed my set make-up based ok what I read and changed my plan on a few holes on my home course based on what I read. for me, the best thing about the book is that it gives you strategies to go out and play. after playing 10 rounds after reading I feel better about my planning and scoring, even with the occasional outlier that didn't pan out.

Does the book offer statistical strategy with regards to different type of golf courses and grass and rough conditions? I.e. links golf, different type of grass, penalizing rough (i.e. finding ball not likely)

I.e. links golf, different type of grass, penalizing rough (i.e. finding ball not likely)

Chapter Section three covers this in their Shot Zone's and Decisions Maps. You can classify high grass as something you want to give a bigger buffer to. So, it does consider this, more in common sense type of thing.

I'm reading it for the second time and just picked up on something I'd glossed over the first time -- using the ground to help you gain distance. That little "push" or whatever it may be called off of my right side is a good key for me, but one that I seem to easily lose track of.

Unfortunately this is one of my problems I'm trying to fix. I "push" off the ground too much, to the point where I'm usually on my toes by impact. Look at Louis Oosthuizen's driver swing and it's a bit more exaggerated than that.

I have been on this site for a long time and never posted anything. There is so much helpful information on here that has help my game out a lot. I have been debating on buying the book and today at work I broke down and bought it. I can not wait for it to come in so I can try to improve my game even more.

It is a great book, I am sure you will love it.  It is the first "game improvement" book I have wanted to read more than once.

Maybe we can get a few more posts from you as well?  Maybe a bit more than one post in 2 years, otherwise TTY in 2016!? ;-) Just teasing, hope you stay around and enjoy the book!
