HAHA, you are harsh, man.

I prefer "firmly realistic"... :-P

It's similar to saying, "the F*ck", you don't actually need the "what" part. Ex: "The f*ck you talkin' bout man?"

I guess you could say the "what" is silent.

Does it automatically include the backwards baseball cap?

You take that back!

You're mad because it's true. :-D

So, every PGA Tour player? :P

Better players tend to say "shot." That's all I'm sayin'. :)

I would like to see the Maltby Players Index report proving this. B-)

ok, so im going to officially establish that if you only say "shot" instead of "nice/good shot" you are in the category of golfer who uses the term "game" in reference to the clubs/balls/clothes/bag/divot tool/spikes...he uses.

well, you better comply, as there appear to be some really sensitive nancy's that play golf - you don't want to be picked last

Less aggravating (but still) is the guy that doesn't have a clue what a good roll is that says something like "Good putt" or Good roll" after a terrible roll that happens to go in the hole. I would rather have somebody that knows the difference say "Good roll" on a putt that missed (if it actually was a good roll).

Wait.  Anything that goes in the hole is a good roll!  :-P

But seriously, unless you jam a putt and bounce it up off the back edge and drop it, or 360 a four footer that barely drops, if you make it it was a good putt.  Do you really get mad if someone says "Good putt" after you drop a 15 footer but feel like it would've gone 3 feet past the hole if you'd missed instead of the 9 inches you were aiming for?  Or after you drop an 18 footer but it wasn't dead-center cup?  What exactly are we talking about here?!

@David in FL .  Are there any shots you wished you had back in the round with Graeme?

@David in FL .  Are there any shots you wished you had back in the round with Graeme?

You're kidding, right?!

My first tee shot was a dead right blast that was so bad, it ended up ok, in the middle of the 9th fairway.  I had 3 doubles, all as a result of single bad shots....one of which was hit OB from dead center in the fairway. :8) Give me those 4 shots back, and I have at least a chance at breaking 80.

I can easily think of 3 or 4 others I wasn't very proud of too, but sadly, that's nothing new with my game!

I'd have KILLED to have shot 79 on that course, playing with GMAC.  Given the day, I guess the score isn't all that important, but still......

79 is still 16 strokes off his score... That stings a little saying it out loud...

He's the 12th best player in the world. I'm barely the 12th best player on my street! I'm ok with it. :-)

I'm a little late saying how awesome of a read that you provided and can't really say anything else that everyone else has already said but very glad you had an awesome time and that it was everything and more your expected it to be.

Very envious.

Did you by chance say anything about TST?

I hear ya, when the very unique opportunity to be playing alongside a major winner comes around, you definitely would like to impress him to some degree. I'm sure you did have a few good moments he took notice. I guess the perfect day would be your best round ever though but that's some pressure to overcome also.

I did!  To the girls at GolfNow, to the two other guys we played with, and to Graeme.  Just casually as we were talking golf in general, but I managed to work it in that I was part of a great on-line community and that they should check it out!

    • I don't think anyone will really care.   It's your call.  Just be consistent.
    • I agree, until we are watching the 18th hole in the dark or waiting for the champion to finish and it's been 5+ hours
    • Question for the group. The course I normally play at has 27 holes - 3 9s that they use to for 18 in the various combinations. Is it okay to declare* if I’m playing front or back when I play 9 on this course? I’m figuring I need to declare before I play a shot. *meaning just say to myself that this is the back 9. Curious what people think. Of course, my only holes left are 13 and 17, so I’m going to declare the back 9 for the rest of the year. Probably only one or two more rounds though.
    • This is my opinion as well. I would love to see the LPGA take the lead on this.    This.
    • I agree in general. The one way in which the viewer will notice the pace of play is just that "it's been an hour and Nelly Korda or Scottie Scheffler have only played four holes." Or if for some reason they show a lot of shots of players just standing around when they could be showing golf shots. But I think Andy Johnson said it most recently/best, playing fast is a skill, too. I would love for pro golfers to play faster. You'd see the players you want to see hit more shots in the same time than they do now. So I don't disagree with the pace of play stuff, and hope they can find ways to do it. Heck, the LPGA should leap at the chance to differentiate itself in this way, IMO. So: I stand by what I said in that the TV viewer really doesn't notice much about pace of play. It's rare when they do. I support increasing the pace of play wholeheartedly. But my top five reasons don't include TV ratings or viewership.
