He played the week before.

Now, with 8 rounds under his belt, he can make some changes based on those rounds. Maybe a bit more time putting, among other things.

You were saying the same kinds of things before he won the Masters and the Zozo. I don't know what he's got in his system anymore, either. Anything we get is gravy. But I won't really speak out against him.

It's all gravy.

Thanks, that was exactly my point.

But then again, what the hell do I know?

I was like uh-oh, did something bad happen, no, just random appreciation, in Mickelson's own words.

Sub-tweeted Tiger on that one.

If Tiger doesn’t care about going bald, then neither should we!

He's wearing metal spikes right? I forget, did he always wear metal spikes?

Don't quote me on this but I feel like I remember hearing he went away from them for a bit in the 2000s/2010s and then went back to the metal.

Yes, I thought he went to plastic spikes for a little there!

This silhouette of Woods at WF from the USGA is a great shot. It's the last photo of the Instagram post. You'd think they were playing on the west coast.

At least he’s still writing history in his 40s. The 10 on the par 3 12th at Augusta was his worst score on a hole in his career (or at least PGA Tour).

    • Day 23 - Back to full swing work, trying to swing loose and feel the club head.
    • Yet here we are. I don’t disagree that we should expect spectators to behave on any event, not just The Masters, but that’s not the case. There’s a sea of phones out there on any other event and a lot more incidents with spectators. Why shouldn’t we praise decent behaviour when it is often lacking in these days? There are plenty of golf related events to write negative articles about. I like when there is positivity to write about instead. Not that I expect them to behave at any other event like they do at Augusta just because it gets praise, but it’s nice to see positive spin on things. There are more than enough articles about rowdy spectators and cheating players. I think you nailed it in the first line: “grumpy old man”. 😉
    • Day 275: mirror work for a bit while watching TV. Working on cleaning up a few things in my lower body stuff.
    • Yeah, I take your point. Perhaps you've just identified the other side of the same coin: maybe there is very little to celebrate about pro golfers as people, so the golf media are clutching at straws trying to find something.
    • Go ahead and name three things that, in the world of golf, have been more praise-worthy in the last three months. I'll wait. It's not like they got Congressional medals or something.
