I would have to say that my 3 wood and longer irons, 4 to 6 are my worst clubs, so far, mainly inconsistent with them. Next would be driver, I really struggled with it since I took up golf again last Oct, but I'm finally hitting o.k., dispersion is a problem. Everything else is o.k. not great but an ongoing work. At least I can get through a round of golf w/o being laughed at... :-$

I was going to say penalties.  Either out of bounds, water, or just plain lost.  Yeah, I even count the lost ones even when I seen them hit a certain spot but for some reason or another the little white pills like to hide under the grass only to be found by the ball shaggers or mower decks.  Right now, it is definitely when the sand wedge is in hand.  I always seem to half the distance when using it out of the full cut around the green.  For some reason, they always fall short.  I'd be happy to hit beyond the flag just for piece of mind.  I also make way too many little 2 ft. flub shots when I'm on the fringe.  The club is sliding under the ball way too much on the delicate shots.  The weird part is I'm totally confident hitting it out of the sand bunkers and have holed a few in my fledgling career.  The good part is the skull shots are about to be put on the endangered species list.

3-15' putting. I can be wild off the tee, but the errant shots are evened out by spectacular shots. I rarely make a 15' putt, and I don't make as many 4' putts as I should.

I'm going to say all around consistency. I struggle keeping both the long and short game going at the same time.

After last night's round I would say the biggest weakness in my game is the part where I have a golf club in my hand. My driver is what constantly costs me the most.

Right now I would have to say putting. I don' have the opportunity to properly practice that part of my game right now. Showing up before a round, and hitting the practice green for a few minutes does not  help me for overall improvement. Although I am in the 33+/-  putts per round range, I would really like to be down near the 30-29 range.

If I were able to practice more, I am pretty sure my percentage of longer (7-10+ feet) putts would go up. I can put a good stroke on the ball, but I am weak in reading the contours of the greens, and speed of putts. Right now I fall into the idiom that even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while on my longer putts.

Generally it is hitting into trouble with the driver or long irons causing penalty strokes to add up a little too fast for my liking. Then theres the days I'm hitting off the deck pretty consistent. those are the days where I flub the short irons or wedges. Followed by a nice chip from around the green to across the green and then leave myself a long putt...which I can usually do a good job 3 putting. But other than that I think my game is flawless lol

Long- and mid-range fairway to green game.  It's about 20% that I'll hit a solid shot from 200-130 range.  Inside 130 I'm usually pretty solid but give me a fairway wood, hybrid or longer iron and it's an adventure at best.  Almost every time.

5 simple keys my ass!

The Keys are simple… you just have to actually practice them, eh? :-)

Okay, practicing, there I said it.

Put a club in my hand and I can do almost anything. Chunk, skull, slice, hook but I don't think I've got the pullshank good enough yet. But I'm working on it.

Taking notes again last night on LSW.

I would self analyze my greatest challenge on the course is staying focused.  I believe I could be 5-8 strokes better if I could only stay focused on the shot at hand and not other things.  Not that I don't have swing flaws, but they are almost insignificant to the "outta my mind" shots" that cause double and/or triple bogies a couple of times a round.

Wouldn't mind hitting it 10-20 yards further :-D

I would like to be more consistent with my GIR's, would be great to hit at least 12/13 every round. Short iron play was sucking for a while, hitting big pushes but getting that under control. Hit 15 greens in our last SoCal outing and 14 at Aviara for a Titleist media day. Here's my last 5 rounds (round at Encinitas Ranch/Aviara not included)

It's not like I don't give myself chances, fairways hit numbers

My swing. I pull most of my shots, but I know what to fix. Still working on my priorities, and the progress is so slow.

Sand has not been an issue, and my putting is better even though my stats don't show this. I make a lot of fairways, partially because I am currently hitting so short.
