It has always been the Who for me. I was a big fan of the British Invasion and when I first heard the Who the moved to the top over the DC 5 the Kinks and the Beatles. My kids grew up in the 80's and I actually took my daughter to see Wham lol.  My knowledge and listening exposure to today's music is limited.  But a lot of the groups mentioned were enjoyed in our house.

Nice.

Thanks, I still love 80's Metal & Hair Bands

Yeah, Ozzy is the real deal despite his current state. Liked all his axemen but Randy Rhoads was head and shoulders above the rest with Tony Iommi coming in second for style points alone!!!

agree ... but I think Jake E Lee wrote the best songs.    Randy was the innovator & put Ozzy on the map as a solo act.   Zakk is pure stage dominance - never seen anybody as good live.    Gus G is technically the best of the 4 - that kid is unreal live too.

Led Zeppelin by a mile.  You can put their music up against any current hard rock group (and maybe some metal groups) and they can hang no problem, and they were doing that 45 years ago.  That is ridiculous.

I'm not an big heavy metal fan. I do like some Metalica. I'm a huge fan of Green Day. Muse has one of the best male singers out there.

Is there another album out there that manages to capture the raw aggression, energy, hunger, and attitude than Appetite for Destruction??? I suggest that there is not. Early Metallica is shocking in their compositions, they had the energy and aggression but they also has that scalpel-like precision....no slop....Master of Puppets is stupid good. Nowadays - Radiohead Opeth (Swedish progressive metal with death vocals) TooL Between the Buried and Me (progressive deathcore) Isis (post hardcore) Katy Perry Among others...
