Normally I would just flag this post as blatant SPAM but seeing as it it is freakin' hilarious I'm going to assume this is a joke.

Too funny!

Hi guys! So I am a college student and am currently designing this product. The product in the picture is just a box I found with paper taped on but the idea for the product is the same. I trying to figure out:

1. If there is interest in a product like this (I am a college golfer and my tees always give me trouble)

2. What people would be willing to pay

3. Which product people would be interested in (The Mega, Long, or Short)

I know the picture of the product is not good but it is just a homemade rough draft. The product description is a more accurate display of what the tee dispenser will be.

This website is made to analyze interest.

Anyway, I would love some insight on whether or not other golfers would be interested in something like this.

Thanks!

Yes.

I have considered giving up golf because of it.

I have nightmares about it.

Tee preparation on the "tee box" - (you mean "tee", BTW)  is a big problem.

In the race of life, always back self-interest. At least you know it's trying.

In you go down on bended knee, you can actually push them into the ground using your thumb, and then stand up again! If you place your tee in the ground without bending your knees, remember to widen your stance for stability, should you struggle with either of these, there's always sitting down and using a toffee hammer? also I never carry more than 3 in my pocket as the weight can really zap your energy! Good luck

I have actually started using my beard as a tee dispenser, I just put it in and then wait for the next whole to use it and bam never forget my tee not forget to dispense it! Phew I'm glad I figured out a solution for that problem!

I have a complicated routine I took 7 years of golf to get to this point.

I have one or two new tees in my right pocket for the driver. simple wooden tees. They rarely break unless a miss hit. very practical for cleaning grooves too.

for the rest of clubs I pick up a broken part of a tee anywhere and keep this bit or two for the rest of the course.

I have a ball and a tee in my right hand while waiting for my turn to play. I push on the ball for the tee to get down on hard turf.

The worst part is I find soo many tees on range and the course I can't get to buy my own. I'm sorry for the industry hope nobody gets laid off.

For me, the biggest issue is sorting through which tee I should be using. I know I play best if I use the blue tees on any par 3 facing the east, and pink tees facing the west, but if there's a cross wind it throws off Earth's magnetic fields and I have to use a white tee. Of course, this all hinges on where Venus was in the sky that morning, but that gets canceled out by the moon if it's near high tide.

Now, for par 4s, it can get really complicated. If there is a 5-15 mph wind, no matter the direction, I need to use 2" tees. But, if the wind is more than 15 mph, then I need to use 2 1/32" tees. I try to have them be different colors as well, but sometimes I run out of one, so I have to trim the end a little bit with my knife, which is ok, but if I accidently use a 2 1/32 tee that I trimmed down to 2" on a par 4 when the wind is blowing more than 15 mph, all hell breaks loose. That's why I like to use my calipers so I can make sure I'm not using the wrong tees.

I could really use a good tee dispenser, as having all these tees in my pockets can be a real pain. Sometimes I'll go to pull out a tee and the whole pile will fall out of my pocket and I have to pick them all up and sort them and put them back in my pocket in the proper order. My playing partners hate it when that happens.

First I always look around for a free tee on the tee box.  Of course I always wait until it is my turn so as to not disturb others.  Darn things are expensive and I just don't understand why people leave their used but perfectly good tees laying around after they hit.  More money than sense I guess.

But which is more important to a golfers game, the distance he presses the tee into the ground or the accuracy with which he gets the tee positioned perpendicular to the ground.

See, we just cannot get away from the distance vs. accuracy debate - even when it comes to tees.

But then again, what the hell do I know?

I played with a guy recently who had a weird contraption that was basically a golf syringe, haha. It's the length of a wedge, and at the base there's a slot for a tee and a ball. He pushed it into the ground and pushed the plunger and it teed the ball up for him. I'd like to think he had a bad back, but he picked the ball out of the hole every time on the greens without much issue, so who knows? I guess he just likes his tee height just so.

    • Sounds to me like you’re still swinging in and you’ve learned to close the face a little bit more than you used to.
    • I doubt Bryson cares about promoting LIV. Airing grievances with the PGAT on social media is more of a Greg Norman and Phil thing. Does he even really mention his team or whatever on his videos? I haven’t watched many of them but I don’t recall seeing that. He’s promoting his own brand (himself) with his social media.

    • Yeah but then he effed it all up by going to LIV. If he didn't, I would be celebrating right now. But he chose to drink sheik juice.
    • A little refresher. here is an article about Bryson at the 2021 Ryder Cup. He was the "entertainer" then. "Wherever he went the crowd welcomed him like a Packer walking into an Oshkosh bar, and DeChambeau responded with nods and thumbs-up and cap-tips and shouts of “Let’s go!” On the sixth, when the crowd began to boo when he grabbed his 3-wood, Bryson loudly proclaimed, “Guys, I’m still going for the green, calm down,” which dialed the cheers back to 10. Spectacle recognizes spectacle, after all. On this afternoon, one would have had a hell of a time explaining to an outsider that he was the most divisive guy in golf."   Ryder Cup 2021: How Bryson DeChambeau won the week, and found redemption, after summer from hell | Golf News and Tour Information | Golf Digest No American had more questions entering the Ryder Cup than DeChambeau. By Sunday evening, he answered them all and looked, at long last, like he was enjoying golf again.
