Hi, I was wondering if women/girls can wear flat billed hats while golfing. What do u guys think? I'm just curious. Thanks for the replies ahead of time.

To the best of my knowledge the Rules do not mention clothing.

What rule do you think may be breached?

Flat billed caps look weird to me, I've yet to see anyone make a flat billed cap look good.

@Rulesman I don't know of any rule that could be broken but I was just checking with you guys to make sure because I don't want to be that one person who everybody is staring at.

Style, to each their own.

But, it drives me nuts to see anyone wearing a hat with the bill to the side or backwards at our club.

They show "No" respect for the tradition of the game, and probably knowledge of dress codes.

Wear whatever you want as long as long as you're not violating a dress code at a private course. If a dress code distinguishes between what kinds of hats men and women can wear, gladly take your business elsewhere.

I wasn't sure what a "flat billed hat" was. When I googled it, all it showed has baseball type caps. I don't recommend them since they don't cover your ears. Ears can get really sunburned. If they like the style, then go for it. I don't care for the look myself. Not the most flattering for a woman, IMO.

To me, flat billed caps have that "thug" look which is very unappealing to me. I like my cap bills to be curved. Call me old school.

Sure it is OK. Women have just as much right to look ridiculous as men. :-P

What drives me nuts is all of these players who wear pants that hang down to their ankles.  It shows a profound disrespect for the REAL DRESS CODE of golf, which is wearing plus fours.  And don't even get me started about the bozos who try to get away with playing without a fully buttoned up dress shirt and tie.  They show "No" respect for the tradition of the game, and probably knowledge of dress codes.

But then again, what the hell do I know?

Haha. Reminds me of the great Nike commercial last year:

If they wear a flat billed cap, then shouldn't they do the "Ear Tuck " too....?
