I was looking for information about improving at golf and did a search for golf forums.  I like this one best right away.  I became a supporter within a month if I recall correctly.

Google.  I was actually looking for some local (Tampa-St Pete area) golf forums and this was at the top of the list.  I popped by to do some window shopping, and the different threads and discussions lured me in!

I found it by searching for various training aids or instruction videos. TST kept coming up with reviews of the products I was searching for....so here I am

Pretty sure I googled "Golf forum" in search for someone to discuss golf with and get help with my game.

Found this and Golf WRX, decided to stay at TST. Almost been 7 years, and I've really enjoyed my time here.

I was googling info on Manuel de la Torre, to try and figure out why his "method" wasn't working for me. Quickly moved away from Torre and got into more technical swing instruction and now find myself drifting back to a lot of the concepts that Torre preaches, but now they work because of the technical work I've put in. Best golf site out there.

I Googled golf forums looking to find a group of new golfer as well as some more experienced golfers. TST was a perfect blend of what I was looking for not to mention a close knit group of golf lovers.

This is my second post:

All I can say, is boy was I deluded! :-D

IDK what is my current driver or iron SS, and I couldn't give a crap. Haven't measured it in 3 months. All I care is how far do my clubs carry?

In 2009 I was completely replacing my golf clubs - going from stiff to regular flex. I stumbled across TST when googling about Callaway irons.

I'm a golf swing junkie, and when I would Google questions about the swing, this site would come up. I wasn't sure if the information could be trusted, so I didn't join.

I didn't join, though, until I was Googling my instructor and realized he was a member of the site. That convinced me to join, and I've been posting dumb thing ever since.

I searched on The Dan Plan after hearing about it from a guy I played with in 2013, as I had started playing golf again not too long before that. One google link was to a thread here on TST, and I lurked for a few days, before posting something about Dan's swing:

I was called out as a possible "PR Agent" for Dan, because of that first post! (I'm looking at you, @jamo ). But I stuck around anyway :-$ . Then the other Dan Plan thread about the 10,000 hours theory clearly took precedence, and I went on to join other threads while enjoying all of the amazing information here.  Great place.

Incidentally, now if you search google about Dan's progress, with the right terms, you can actually get the first search result to be one of the graphs I posted here on TST about his scores and handicap progress. Kinda cool!

I was thinking about this recently and I really have no idea.  I think I've been a member since 2011 or so.  If I had to guess I'd say I was probably looking around the internet for swing tips.

It was either a Google search for approaches on hitting a fade, or something about shaft torque. Nothing like killing time at work...
