Did my 5 minutes inside with a club just doing very short backswing and focussing on striking the ground in front of where I set up. Elbow has been a little sore lately so trying to limit my swings in number and force for a couple days.

Still before midnight here... 5 minutes of mirror work with no club. Right elbow....

Hit balls with tees under both arms. Turning rates were stalling a bit on the backswing and the arms were getting a little lifty at A4. Really forced me to get more dynamic with the turn.

Close call today. After a busy day of travel for work, I got back to my hotel room at 9pm and almost collapsed in bed. But I managed to get 5 minutes of mirror work in.

I spent 5 minutes without a club just working on my turn during the takeaway. I am attempting to achieve the A4 position posted by Mike in the My Swing thread.

Did pitching & anti-flipping drill at home.

Went to range for a full ball striking and putting practice (Aimpoint) to get ready for tomorrow afternoon's round.  I had one of the worst range practice session in recent memory.   My wife thinks it is a sure sign that I will play a good round tomorrow.

Played 18 holes yesterday (full day of travel and then socializing and then Zzzzzzzzz so I won't be earning a badge in my own challenge :D), but today teaching some AimPoint clinics and hitting some balls slowly in the morning focusing on the move from 3-4-5.

My Swingbyte died. It was not registering all the swings anyway, and now it's completely dead. I took it apart, and found that on the Bluetooth module that a flip chip device had a crack in it. Not sure I want to purchase another one, yet.

More mirror work is required with driver. I took some video of me driving, and regretted it. Although the results are pretty nice, I lose my balance on the follow through sometimes and the swing looks really crappy.

A week's hiatus for me.. lot of travel for work but a very fruitful trip to GE !

Anyway, back in the saddle. Preparing for a tournament in early June. Swung at some Dixie cups with my 3 hybrid late last night for a few mins. while catching up on the latest Game of Thrones episode. OT: Some serious controversy over the last scene..

5 Minutes slow swing practice before my round. Decent results, still a crappy looking swing. . .

Very slow half swings focusing on a bowed left wrist. This is going to be the only move I work on until it sinks in and the change becomes ingrained.

Small bucket at a grass range, including getting some video. I'm loving the way I'm hitting it now! I also did some chipping with my new Snell balls, so I can estimate how they'll react when I use them this weekend (two rounds). I'll probably play 9 of par-3 tomorrow to give that a shot. Lastly, I did about ten minutes of putting, the 4-8-12 drill.

    • Is it? I bought the Stack radar to replace my PRGR based on what Stack told me! When I am swinging for speed, the PRGR would miss 50%-80% of my backswings due to a higher speed. The stack seldom misses those- at least for me.
    • As an analyst by nature, I would like to compare the scores under both systems. It is something we can easily do if we have the data. I actually thought the new system was less fair to those whose game was on the decline - like mine! Old: Best 10 of last 20 scores with the .96 multiplier. Course handicap excluded course rating and overall par. New: Best 8/20. Course handicap includes course rating -par. My understanding is Stableford caps scores at Net double bogey like stroke play. If so, handicap should be slower to rise because you are only using 8 versus 10 scores. If I am missing something, I am curious enough to  want to understand what that may be. My home course tees that I play are 72.1/154 now. My best score out here is 82. When my game started to decline, my handicap didn’t budge for 13 rounds because of good scores in my first 8! I know I am an anomaly but my handicap has increased almost 80% in the past few years (with only a few rounds this year). For a few months I knew I was losing every bet because my game was nowhere near my handicap. I suspect I have steamrolled a few nuances but that shouldn’t matter much. When I have modeled this with someone playing the same tees and course, one good round, or return to form, will immediately reduce the handicap by some amount.
