A dozen swings with the swing fan.  Hip slide/turn to start the swing, pulling the fan down and through and full finish.  1/2, 3/4 and full swings indoors.  Hip slide/turn, soft arms and full finish.  20 minutes total.

120 minutes at the driving range.

Hit many of the "half swings" and the "3/4" full swing. I hit almost an full bucket with just the 60 degree and the 52 degree. Getting nice distances with a nice easy swing. Even one of my playing partners said "You look like you're swinging at 80% rather than your usual 200%". Surprisingly, I gained distance. Not really surprising because they had way less side spin on them. Not as much "hiss" off the balls, but they went straight.

Missed yesterday. Today I worked on right elbow again. I really like the feel that Erik posted in @Jeremie Boop s swing thread.

Spent 10 to 15 minutes mapping my swing positions in front of a mirror before my workout.  Focused on:

  1. Flat left wrist at A4.
  2. Flatter shaft at A5 feeling like the handle was pointed past my target line.
  3. Elbow in front and weight forward with hip slide at A6.
  4. Pivot from A6 to A8 rotating hips and shoulders with my arms in sync.
  5. getting my knees closer together at A8-9.

During my workout, I would grab a club and Do A1 to A4 stop then down to A6.

5 Minutes backswing work in the mirror. Working on keeping the right leg flexed until A2, then making a centered pivot to A4.

40 minutes in the net.  7i, 6h, 5h, 4h.  Hip slide then turn.  Left elbow soft, no tension.  Make good contact (the balls make a mark on the face of my clubs even without spray, so I can check).  A few on the heel, most pretty centered.  Good session.

My 5 minutes today I switched it up a bit by doing my practice tonight and going outside on the lawn and trying to repeat what I do indoors and translating it outside without a ball.  I mixed in stopping at A4 & A6 with making slow swings with a focus on bowing the wrist, laying my shaft down, and getting my hips forward while keeping my head back.  Used this with my driver and 3W.

Worked on this drill for about 20 minutes. A change from my usual practice of doing the same put over and over trying to get it perfect. This one you have to hit a slightly different put every time.

Pitching indoors, mostly worried about not bringing the club too far back and having the ball at the right spot in my stance. One of these days, I might even be able to turn on the porch light with one of these foam balls. Which are way too much fun, by the way.

    • Is it? I bought the Stack radar to replace my PRGR based on what Stack told me! When I am swinging for speed, the PRGR would miss 50%-80% of my backswings due to a higher speed. The stack seldom misses those- at least for me.
    • As an analyst by nature, I would like to compare the scores under both systems. It is something we can easily do if we have the data. I actually thought the new system was less fair to those whose game was on the decline - like mine! Old: Best 10 of last 20 scores with the .96 multiplier. Course handicap excluded course rating and overall par. New: Best 8/20. Course handicap includes course rating -par. My understanding is Stableford caps scores at Net double bogey like stroke play. If so, handicap should be slower to rise because you are only using 8 versus 10 scores. If I am missing something, I am curious enough to  want to understand what that may be. My home course tees that I play are 72.1/154 now. My best score out here is 82. When my game started to decline, my handicap didn’t budge for 13 rounds because of good scores in my first 8! I know I am an anomaly but my handicap has increased almost 80% in the past few years (with only a few rounds this year). For a few months I knew I was losing every bet because my game was nowhere near my handicap. I suspect I have steamrolled a few nuances but that shouldn’t matter much. When I have modeled this with someone playing the same tees and course, one good round, or return to form, will immediately reduce the handicap by some amount.
