After about two months of mostly high 40s/low 50s for nine holes, finally ended the streak with a 46! Not a promising start: double-double-double. Went par-bogey-bogey-bogey for the next four holes, then doubled the eighth. Best bunker shot of my life on the fifth to 8ft from water, then missed the par putt. Nearly reached the par-5 ninth in two, and got up-and-down for the birdie, my first in 2020. 1 hole birdied down, 17 to go!

90 on my home par 71 from 5800 yards. Cold as hell. Started with 4 double bogeys on 4 par 4s. Turned it around after that. No 7s which is amazing for me. 48 42

92 at Oriole.  After two rounds in a row with a hot driver, I hit several annoying hooks.  But my approach shots and short game were actually quite good, also a reversal.  Go figure.

I think it hurt me, not touching a club for a week, then going out cold, no driving range prior. Ended up shooting a 92 on Thursday, followed with an 81 on Friday, and Saturday with an 80.

98 yesterday, not at my home course, but a place I play every month or so. Played from the back tees to change things up. It's a heavily bunkered course, and my sand game sucks, but luckily only found myself in sand three times.

Started off great with a par on a tricky dogleg par-5 that does not suit my eye at all. Then I started topping the ever-loving crap out of the ball. It was really frustrating because this is not a typical miss for me so I felt powerless to make an adjustment. Also had three S/D penalties from drives OB. My theory is that playing the back tees made me think that needed to go a little harder after the ball which possibly caused the tops and wayward (OB) drives.

Managed 10 GIR/nGIR.

On a positive note, had a several chances to hit 3/4 PW shots today, and they were really effective for 90-100 yard distance.

So were the holes wither really big scores or really little?  Seems that way.

Definitely had holes with big scores, and more than usual - one quad, two triples, and five doubles.

No low scores this round. I did have three decent looks for birdie inside 15 feet that didn't go in. Almost chipped in for birdie on one of the par-5 holes, but just a tap in par.

Last 4 rounds have been fun playing. 80, 84, 86, 82. These on 3 different courses.

Shot of the rounds was 120 +/- yard approach shot, for a par 5 eagle. Followed that grand moment up with a double bogey on a par 3. Such is golf. My buddies were relentless, and chastised me properly.

Kind went through slump with my putting.  32, 37, 36, 32. Although some what of a surprise, I just played through the annoyance.

Might play today, but it depends on this pesky north wind. If not playing, I will get some qualty practice time in.

Yesterday’s back nine was a huge disappointment for me. On the tougher front side, I managed to grind out a 42, which included a birdie, a par, six bogeys and a double. Started off double-bogey on the back, then made quad on the twelfth after my ball just barely crawled OB left. I made a nearly impossible up-and-down par on the thirteenth (the toughest 350-yard hole I’ve ever played), nearly chipping in for three. The par-5 fourteenth gave me trouble. It’s a birdie hole under any circumstances, and I was certainly I’m good position, 70 yards out after my second shot. Almost the exact distance I made birdie from earlier in the round. Except this time, I hit my first fat shot of the day, dumping it into the deepest bunker on the entire course. Took me two to get out, then two-putted. Made an okay bogey on the fifteenth, narrowly missing my par putt. I recovered from a horrible tee shot on 16 to make a bogey, then bogeyed seventeen as well. Standing on the 18th tee, I was +19 for the round and needed a birdie to break 90 (course par was 71). I was striping my 3W all day, but I was desperate for birdie, so I pulled the big stick. Blasted it about 60 yards right of my target. Then did the same thing for my third shot. Y’all should’ve seen me walking off the tee. I was mad. Really mad. I ended up making 10 on the hole, finishing with a 53 on the back, 95 total. Conditions were fairly wet, so under the circumstances, 95 isn’t terrible. But I’m sort of disappointed. That 95 could’ve easily been 85. Holes twelve and eighteen killed me. Short game, excluding sand play, was a plus though. I chipped and putted very well. Made some decent-length putts, and had probably half a dozen putts in the 8-10 foot range that hung on the lip. The final score is not what I’m mad about. As I mentioned earlier, I shot 42 on the harder front nine, and completely blew it on the back, where I usually shoot around 45, sometimes much lower. I’m upset that I played so well on the front nine, and couldn’t replicate that on the back. Reflecting on the round later, my back nine score was terrible, but it was inflated by an eight and a ten. So I honestly shouldn’t be too disappointed. All things considered, I played a decent round given the course conditions.

Here's a tale of 2 sides. Saturday, the weather was a little misty, cool, and just overall crappy. On top of that, I had a slight sore throat, which turned into a full head cold on Sunday.

Started off, with a par, followed by a bogey, then 3 more pars, then 3 birdies on 6, 7, and 8, followed by a par on 9, for a 34. Now, we make the turn, birdied 10, par on 11, double on 12, finishing up with 2 more pars and 4 more bogeys, for a 41. I can't complain about a 75, but it sure could have been better. I think my head cold was just getting revved up on the back 9.

Managed to only hit 7 GIR, but with just 25 putts managed to get around in par 72.  One birdie, one bogey, with a lot of good chips and clutch 4-5 footers.

First off it was sloppy.  Get an inch of rain one day, skips a day and get another inch. Been doing this for 2 weeks. Shot a 93, but struggled on first 4 holes.  Hoping it dries up a bit and I get to play later in the week.

77 on Course #4.  Breezy conditions and cool to start, low 50,s. Had 41 on the front, 2 double bogeys and 1 three putt. Back 9 was great, even 36. Overall 13 fairways and 11 GIR’s.  One birdie.  On the 15th hole a par 5, hit the fairway, 2nd shot left me about 110 out. Had a downhill lie and proceeded to blade the ball through the green all the way to the 16th tee box. I was about 50 yards to the pin.  I decided to putt the ball. Grass all the way, cut short and a down slope feeding the green.  Left to right break and ran it 5 feet past the pin. Rolled it in for par. Playing partners just shook their heads.
