To put this in another perspective, if you or I constantly post something in these forums that offends groups of people, we will be put on penalty box, or even be banned.   What's happening to Trump isn't so much different.   He is talking the talk and there is a consequence to his talks.

Gotta watch every single word I say now because I might inadvertently offend someone.  I $hit you not, I got admonished on one of the forums I frequent for talking about zombies.  As if I was going to offend some zombi-american somewhere.  This PC world is not one I like and I can only hope that this runs its course soon.

Hey, if this was a business decision then fine I am OK with that.  But that was not the implication when I got involved in the thread.

You should seen the training material for harassment class from my company.   Some PCs are out of control.   But Trump's business is not being boycotted b/c of his Political Incorrectness.   It is being done b/c in many instances, he has gone beyond it.   Otherwise, we'd not be talking about Trump.   I understand some people love that aspect of Trump and will support his POTUS bid.  But majority Americans see him as what he is - egomaniac going for the POTUS.   I.e, this is not about PC.   This is about business & Trump.

Actually my wife's family are all liberals and many of my friends are as well.  I'm financially conservative but I'm more socially liberal than I am socially conservative given I'm agnostic and turn off the hard right when they preach religious values. 

I wasn't arguing this from a political position which is why I used BLM and NRA as I'd be concerned if either were turned away from a business because of their "politics".

I'm glad you feel that way Scott because I feel the same way, while we may differ on some issues, nothing is ever meant to be personal and I look forward to getting in a few rounds of golf with all of you, even Drew .

At the end of the day the R&A will just bump the next course on the Open Rota forward a slot. Turnberry not having the Open doesnt have a huge effect on the the championship just, as people have said here, the local businesses which is a bit crappy. 

The only problem is that the R&A cant really go back on the decision for as long as the Trumpster owns Turnberry. Cant risk being accused of double standards can they?
