Welcome @GolfLug . Yahoo should have the A, B, and C lineup set properly on Monday so guys can go ahead and set their rosters on Monday. We are up to 24 guys.

Thanks for that.  I was wondering if I had missed something -- like if the ToC had a bunch of other guys playing, but only winners from the previous season could gain FEC points (akin to Nascar playoffs).  Turns out it was an error by Yahoo!.  I'll check back on Monday.

So what I'm hearing is everyone should make the same picks as GoGolfing?

For those new to fantasy g, everyone must set their players before the deadline. Until the event starts, no one can see anyone's players. Once the event starts, live scoring begins. Yahoo is very slow with displaying points after each round, especially when there is a delay and play resumes the next day.

Anyway, you can change your line up before the next day, once the event starts.

Note: You can not change the eight players who you pick once the first round starts. You can only change starters and bench players.

The key is to guess who are hot players and players who play well in certain events. Example: West Coast swing, Jimmy Walker is a good choice, has played well the past several years on the coast.

Keep in mind, using multiple players during any event count towards a player start "each player is allowed 10 starts" But, a good time to use players off the bench is when they possibly may get bonus points.

Yes, you do: 2 in group A, 4 in group B and 2 in group C.  Then prior to each round, you must decide which 4 players (1 in A, 2 in B and 1 in C) are active for that round while the other 4 are sitting out. You get points for the distance between the lowest scorer of the day and each of your players, so if one of your players has the lowest round of the day, you get 20 points. If a player is 2 strokes behind behind the lowest scorer, you get 16 points for that player, 3 strokes behind and you get 14 points, and if you are 10 strokes behind (it happens!), you get 0.  Add it all up for the 4 active players.

Make sure to check your line-up after the cut and before the 3rd round starts or you could be with fewer (or none at all!) players in position to get any points over the weekend, as a cut player (or WD) obviously doesn't get within 10 strokes of the better round over each day of the weekend...

Also, you get bonus points for having started (any round, not just the final round) any of the top 3 players (and ties), with 20 for the winner, 10 for the runner-up and 5 for the 3-place finishers.

Here is a good explanation from @sjduffers from a few weeks ago for guys new to the format along with @Club Rat's from today.

And @Club Rat, you have now put the hex on me. Up to 25 members, room for 15 more.

I'm looking for some other guys from outside the U.S. to join the pool....as far as I can tell, I am the only one so far. I don't need that kind of pressure. :-D

I'm in and I'm Canadian. Does that help Gogolfing?

I had a great time in this pool last year.

That a guy @Warren Zevon good to have a fellow Canuck on board as we both lick our wounds after the loss in the World Juniors this morning.

start of the Fantasy Golf season

Just bumping the thread. Still have spots left.

The PGA Tour resumes its 2015-16 season on Thursday in Hawaii with the Hyundai Tournament of Champions. The only way to qualify for the '16 opener is to win a PGA Tour-sanctioned event since the last time the event was played in January 2015.

Defending champion Patrick Reed is back at Kapalua Resort's Plantation Course -- the only par-73 course on the PGA Tour -- but a number of familiar faces didn't make the trip.

Rory McIlroy, Justin Rose, Jim Furyk and Shane Lowry are the four winners eligible to play but chose to take the coming week off.
