I think you could out Day in that category as well. His shot routine is not exactly speedy.

I absolutely would. I want to like both guys but their slowness is making it hard for me. My favorite player is Snedeker, not in a small part due to how fast he plays.

I like his demeanor a lot more after that interview.  Took his bad bounce and is moving on.  Would love to see this kid compete over the weekend.

Seems like Bubba and Rickie should take a page out of his book.

Agreed. I decently like Spieth but the amount that he and his caddie belabor every decision has got to stop.

Yeah, but sometimes we forget he's only 22. DeChambeau is the same age and he's a little whiny out there, too. Rory was at 22 as well. Tiger was spitting, cursing and throwing clubs at 22. I think he'll mature with age. He's already matured a lot just from 21 to 22.

I just never understood the super slow play. To me that just means more time to overthink the shot. Make up your mind, take a practice swing and rip it. Most players don't have that issue, why do some of them?

The coverage is atrocious. Who chooses what to screen and what not to?   Surely a non-golfer.???

I had that guy over to my place a few months ago.  He picked up my bowling ball and asked me what it is.  Clearly he isn't a golfer.

(I don't actually know;  I'm half watching coverage today while doing some work.  Will sit and watch intently tomorrow and of course Sunday)

I hope they put Spieth on the clock after his first tee shot tomorrow. Whiny little brat.

COME ON RORS!!! I hope he steps on Jordan's neck tomorrow and doesn't let up till Sunday night.

How was Bryson whiny today, apart from your average look to the caddy and toss your hand up that every player does (including all of us)??

Are you a Nike rep or something.

I like Rory too, but come on. :-P One of only three under par today?

Why do all the greens look beat up? I have never noticed imperfection at AN like this year.

Spieth mentioned that in his post round interview...if I remember correctly he said they were "crusty"....not sure exactly what that means, but maybe they weren't rolling as true

Dried out more than usual, less receptive, hence the high scoring.

Yeah I heard that too. Just weird. When they zoom in on lag putts, you can see the greens are all jacked up. I have never noticed anything out of place on that course before.

I love when you get descriptive like this! LOL.

I didn't see this coming from Phil.  I really would have liked to have seen him play this weekend.

    • Day 323 - Opposite of yesterday, focusing more on taking a full backswing than anything else.
    • Day 139: worked on putting for a while. Did the two cups drill for bead.
    • It’s winter here and time hitting at my indoor place.  This year I bought and sold a few sets so I didn’t settle in on anything. For this coming season, starting now I have a choice to make.  What set would you guys use? 1.  Nike Vapor Pro irons - They are like new, hit them some last year before I had to demo other sets.  I love them, original grips, barely used so I’m almost not wanting to use them to keep their value up.  Standard LLL and standard grips. 2. Taylormade P7TW irons - Still in the box.  Got them over a year ago but had too much to hit, never used them.  Have used a set in the past and loved them.  Ended up with my own set custom fit to me -1/4”, 1 degree flat midsize grips.  These are probably not as valuable because they are still available and they are fit to me. I hate to put the Nikes away but it makes more sense to save them than the TW’s…. I dunno….
    • Day 215 (3 Dec 24) - Another very chilly day - opted to work on easy pitches in the backyard. Worked thru the irons and wedges - focused on foot position and tempo.
