What I don't understand about that hole is why was the 3rd shot so far back from the hazard instead of right up against the margin so you could take the water out of play with a really lofted shot?

Because pros don't always choose the best strategy. In their defense it may be right, because I think it's a pretty steep downslope, so it may be a tough chip/pitch. You take your penalty, hit your third, and try to make a putt for a bogey.

Jordan started the second nine 5-5-7 (bogey bogey quad).  It hurt.

Likely he panicked about dropping shots instead of taking confidence that he had put himself into a position where he could afford a little bleeding.

I'm thinking he wanted a fuller swing to avoid another chunked chip like on 18 yesterday.

Except that the one on 18 was more similar to the length he gave himself than the many shorter shots around the green he's handled very well this week.

I have exactly the same feeling about Rory - can't see how two guys who regularly miss putts that most others make both have blade putters with the thinnest grips imaginable. You've got to imagine that it contributes to their issues.

Willett has a thin putter grip, so he can't win, right?

Willett's a good putter. The other two aren't, therefore probably need a bit more help. Logical, no?

I like this Willett kid

I have a buddy that works for a firm that manages some European tour players and say Willett is a huge prick.

I would think if it helps one, it will help the other.

Yes, but the size of the putter head and the grip aren't necessarily helpful.  There's a lot to be said for a putter you can aim correctly and a grip that fits -- larger isn't always better.

Willett with a bloodless and bogey-less final round, totally deserves this.
