Did anyone choose Willett in the Ping contest?

He was someone's first choice, because I couldn't use him as my second choice by the time I entered.

Man, the stones on Jordan. Most people would just auto-eject after that 7, but he's hanging on for dear life.

Happy to stand corrected. My understanding after my putter fitting was that a large proportion of players play grips that are too narrow, with the fatter grips limiting the amount the wrists affect the putter face. Based on the number that Rory and DJ pull/push, I'd have thought this would be part of it rather than them constantly misreading them.

I  don't think that has much to do with anything. I don't fit people's putter grips (the weight can affect things).

Two people did with their second picks.

Where? I searched for the phrase "willet" and didn't find him as anyone's first choice.

I will have if the judges will accept that "Brandt Snedeker" is a typo for "Danny Willett."  The keys are like right next to each other. :-P

I almost got the score right too!

I think DJ has more pull / push tendency, but as far as I see their common main issue at Augusta is green reading (moreso DJ) and the habit of powering putts through the break. IMO Augusta's sloped greens and pin placements on crowns and ridges punish hitting putts too firmly.

I may very well be mistaken.

If so, this may be the first time in TST prediction contest history that the winner has come down to the second choice.

This makes sense, though.  The past several majors were won by players we'd expect people to pick with a first choice.

Lee Westwood, J.B Holmes, Matthew Fitzpatrick, Soren Kjeldsen, and Daniel Berger will be pleased as they will be invited back in 2017!

Kaufman really blew it today, won't even be guaranteed a return trip next year.

We've gone to the second pick before.

And the link above was after your pick. It was one of the last several picks, in fact.

Nantz et al trying their best to get us to care about Willett with these sentimental anecdotes. I just dont...will be one of the biggest buzz kill Masters champs in recent history

DJ would be well served to take an AimPoint class and get fitted for an Edel putter.
