Ok, so i tend to sweat like the devil in church on a sunday when i golf lol.....  and its even worse now that i am walking instead of using a cart.... and i sweating thru about 3 gloves per 9 holes.... does anyone else have this problem??

I've tried using my towel to dry my hands but it helps a bit.... and i do take my glove off between shots.

should i try like a talc powder?

Taking the glove off between shots helps, but if you are a real sweat monster, buy some rain gloves, like what Phil Mickelson wears in the rain, and just use one of those gloves as a regular glove. The extra moisture won't bother them, they stay sticky like crazy.

I use a FJ rain glove, and I'll never go back to a regular glove in the summer time again. It's been brutal this last month in PA,,and I almost had to use a rain glove on both hands last week. I also sweat a ton,and I also walk, three or four rounds a week, which has been torture lately.

I use two gloves when I play, and alternate every few holes -- sometimes every shot.  I take off between shots and I don't wear a glove to putt (I do wear one to chip).

I use batting gloves because I can buy them in pairs at a fraction of the cost that golf specific gloves cost. They also last longer.

I carry 3 pair, and altenate them as needed during a round. Most of my rounds are in lower humidity weather, but hand sweating has never been a problem for me.

This.  I'll even use them on both hands if it's really steamy...

Tommy 2 Gloves and J.B. Holmes play with rain gloves b/c they sweat too much.

Where I play there is a club washer on the back of the cart.   I stopped using a glove several years ago.  When my hands get sweaty I stick them in there and then dry them with a towel.  it removes all the sweat and oil and I can grip the club great.   A large towel with a dry half and a wet half works as well.  I rarely have issues with clubs slipping, even on very hot days.

The guy at Golfsmith was singing the praises of the tacky towel.  I didn't get one, as I was looking for something different.  It may not necessarily help with the sweating issue, but it will help to keep your gloves tacky.

I use multiple gloves throughout a round and swap them every other hole so they don't get saturated with sweat.  I also took the advice of a fellow TST'er (sorry I don't remember who) and wear a sweat band on the wrist of my glove hand which absorbs a lot of sweat that would normally reach the glove thanks to gravity.

I have several tactics for getting my golf gloves through a sweaty round:

  • I carry a bunch, and swap them out as necessary.
  • I don't wear a glove unless I'm hitting a shot.
  • I wipe my hand off when I go to put my glove on.
  • I carry my glove rather than putting it in my pocket when I'm walking up the fairway (if possible).
  • When I putt, I place the glove on top of my bag with my putter cover (to avoid putting it in my pocket).

Basically, the goal is to allow them to air out as much as possible.

Man, I thought I had it rough but after reading some of these comments, I guess its not so bad.

I carry 2 gloves as I tend to go through them somewhat quickly.  I have a separate glove that I use at the range which is usually just an older glove.  I am generally a sweater and keep 2 gloves going in a typical round.  I keep one on my bag so the wind from driving a cart dries it a bit and I just interchange them as needed.  I prefer the full leather glove rather than the new hybrids but since Mizuno changed their pricing structure, I have picked up a few of their hybrids to check them out.  I think the hybrids are a bit more forgiving when it comes to sweat

All this said, there is nothing like the feel of a brand new glove!!

I definitely have had the same problem with sweaty hands for a while.... especially since I live near DC/Virginia (it basically used to be a swamp).

What really helped me has been the Grip Boost Golf Spray. You just spray your glove or the grip on your club. I found out about it in a review on hackers paradise http://www.thehackersparadise.com/grip-boost-golf-spray-review/

Anyways, it is on Amazon, if you want to try it:

Good luck with it.
