He can't because he's not Kyle Reifers. He's a teacher or, more likely, a student at Princeton High School.

It wasn't premature.

Are you serious? You have proof that this is was Kyle that started this thread?

I feel that TST let him have the benefit of the doubt longer than he would have gotten at any other site. Reddit for example is super strict. Verify through a picture or they'll delete the thread. They require a picture with something in the picture to verify it was taken that day sort of like a hostage picture.

We all agreed that enough people we participating so proof was necessary. We as a community shouldn't want other people coming to the site thinking its him when it's not.

If he provides proof I think we'll all happily welcome him.

Guy comes on claiming to be a Tour pro - hmm, let's give him the benefit of the doubt. Could happen.

I thought the same thing...but to be fair to the TST members, only one guy Stomped on the kid wanting to be a tour pro. I mean, he did knock him down and then stomp on him pretty hard, but at least it wasn't a group beating. ;-)

In fairness to the site and members, we've had maybe 2 guys pretend to be a Tour Pro in 5 years and about 100 claim to want to become one, all with the same basic story.

It would be a nice perk if a Tour Pro did participate on the site so until the Moderator team was certain he was fake why would you want to alienate that person.

If anyone comes in claiming to be a tour pro or famous instructor, we should go through a verification process like @RandallT did right off the bat.

I don't disagree. Just making an observation.

Why would that be needed? I thought the mods and site owners had all the inside information / were in regular contact with tour players?

Huh.  I just assumed, especially after Erik asked a question, that this was an "official" TST AMA, set up by Erik or one of the the other site runners/moderators...

After several PM's with GolferPGA. I would be very surprised if this is not Kyle..

I would suspect that the reference to the high school was an indication that the site mods had traced the IP address from where the account originated.

    • I haven't run the ShotScope yet, but I played 18 today.  I hit a great drive on 6 and then, holes 7-17 (excluding par-3s) I hit some very uninspired drives.  Then, after hitting on 17, I realized I'm over-swinging.  So at 18, I took a practice swing with the drill I've been doing during practice shots at home the past few weeks.  Then I decided, one more practice swing, but you know, with the ball right there. So I did.  I didn't even hit it at full speed.  It resulted in a nice high draw and settled onto the fairway.  To put it simply:  if the rules allowed me to place the ball anywhere in my reasonable shot zone as that tee shot, the spot I would have chosen is where it ended up.  I went on to hit two more good shots (it's a par-5) and left myself with a 7' birdie putt.  While I missed it, that drive is going to stay in my head for a very long time.
    • Day 59, June 25.  Played 18 today.  I'll tell a story on the "best shot of the week" thread that makes me think happy thoughts.
    • Day 631 - 2026-06-25 Long day, but stayed a bit to get fifteen minutes of work in. Foam balls. Throwing the back of the club behind me.
    • Day 5 (25 Jun 26) - continued drills w/7i, hard foam balls focused on “nipping the tee below the ball” to reinforce consistent face contact.  Hit about 40 shots total.
    • Day 294 6-25 Low point control with towel. Then hit some foam balls with flow drill. Recorded.
