I am embarrassed to actually write this...couple years ago I was struggling to get back into the game consistently and I couldn’t hit the ball anywhere near straight. I got so frustrated until someone told me about Polara Golf balls. They re-correct if aligned properly and therefore fly straightish. I secretly bought a box even though they are non-conforming and went to play a late evening solo round. I was so disgusted with myself every time I teed them up I couldn’t even finish the round. I never even used a sleeve. Immediately ditched them and went back to proper golf balls. Still feel like I lost a piece of my golf soul even trying those crappy things...
The MCC Plus 4 is a reduced taper grip. The lower section is larger by approximately 1/16th. That could result in the entire grip feeling larger...or not, depending on the individual. Most mid-sized grips are standard +1/16th (0.04) while most jumbo grips are +1/8th (0.08). The Plus 4 is intended to mimic the feel of having 4 layers of build-up tape under the low hand section of the grip. Best if you gave one a go before committing to a full set re-grip.
I'm trying to get opinions. What are your thoughts on golf ball subscription boxes? For example would you be interested in a box that you received on whatever months you chose, and inside it had as many sleeves of your favorite golf balls as you'd like, as many tees as you need, a ball marker, a divot tool, and a coupon for a golf store or service? Is this something you would subscribe to? Or is there no market for a golf subscription box?
