I'm sorry, why is this a bad representation for the tour?

Ummm, isn't DJ leading?

No names supplied so I went to GC to see who was on top of the leaderboard.

Calling DJ a buffet boy and a bad rep?  Huh???

Since you didnt mention a specific person by name, and you said the person leading the HSBC tournament, I assume you are referring to Dustin Johnson?

I would imagine Johnson's height has to do with the genetics he inherited from his mom and dad, and his physical size probably has to do with the amount of food he consumes as well as his workout routine.

If you referring to the person in a tie for 3rd, Kiradech Aphibarnrat, my only question for you is who are you to judge a professional athlete's physical appearance? I guarantee he has made more money golfing than you have (Over $1 million) so I'm pretty sure he can eat whatever the hell he wants.

It would help if you used the "guy"s name, and an image to emphasize your point. Otherwise, it's just gibberish.

Looking it up myself, here's what I get. . .

Looks pretty normal to me unless you're a beanpole? Next time include some images and names. :-P

I think you got the wrong tournament... But either way, without referencing a specific name or picture this thread is pointless. (Even with a specific name and/or picture its still pointless)

Yeah, not surprised. I just googled "HSBC leader" and clicked on the first link. . . :-D

Thanks. Kiradech Aphibarnrat is kind of on the chubby side of things. 5'8" 229 pounds? That's not outrageous actually. I'm only 2.5 inches taller and 17 pounds lighter. Relatively speaking we're both a bit "husky". . .

Love this pose:

Not everyone watches the PGA for the same reason. While most fans enjoy the competition or the level of golf it offers, others are apparently more interested in how the players look in a tight pair of golf slacks.

Who are we to judge?

I didn't check the leaderboard. I turned it off when he was leading Thursday. And of course I'm jealous of every pro golfer. We all would trade positions. No, I'm not trolling. I just really want to know. Yes, it is bad for the tour. Heck, half the top 30 in this tournament looked fat.

You ever check the ratings and the popularity of golf lately?

I am pretty sure @StefanUrkel just called me fat, since I actually outweigh Mr. Aphibarnrat. Perhaps he would like to play a little money game against me, straight up of course, since I am so out of shape. BRING YOUR WALLET, and perhaps the deed to your car (just in case).

    • Day 133 (25 Apr 24) - Worked with the Divot Board today added a piece of cardboad behind the ball to help reinforce ball first contact. Contact improved through the round.   Added grandson's football goal posts about 10yds out to add a good start line visual Good session today.
    • Day 120: 4/25/24 Full Speed Spectrum training session. Low energy today and my speed was lower than normal. Will see what I can do on Saturday.
    • Day 541, April 25, 2024 Ten minutes after lessons. Still not caught up, but should be by tomorrow evening.
    • Playing irons only may lead to some short-term gains, but you'll want to at least practice with the driver if you ultimately have some decently good goals.
    • He plays from 68.3 / 124.  A combo tee setup of normal mens and seniors.   I play from 69.7/127.   He left after taking a triple on 14 and then leaving.  Which plays to what I think his plan is,   He doesn’t stroke on 14 but would have to take bogey for non completed holes on the way in.   Maybe that’s giving him too much credit, but he found a way to add 4 shots to his score over three holes so….     I looked up his last 20 rounds in GHIN and he has a lot of rounds at easier courses (rating and slope) that are higher than his normal rounds at home.   Since I mostly have his front nine score during the match (36) to go on, he has three nine hole scores at our course posted that are 41-43. I wrote the whole thing up to the head of our golf association who runs all the tournaments.  Our pro is not involved officially in the tournaments because the golf associations are separate from the club.   He’s pretty well known for this, however I was pretty shocked at how well he played carrying a 15.   I think eventually they will do something, a lot of people have complained.  The golf association threw someone out a couple of years ago and it was a three month situation where the guy retaliated.  They probably are hesitant to go thru anything like that again.  That is a rather crazy story I might post about later.
