I say no bogeys. It would be something to go 72 holes of golf on some of the hardest holes and not make a mistake.

4 rounds of bogey free golf sounds awesome!  Sign me up!

Sure 30 birdies would be nice but I am sure somewhere in there are pars, bogeys and maybe the hidden Snowman!!!!  Ahhhhhh!

Bogey free golf is a dream most of us on this site have.

I say 30 birdies over 4 rounds. Thats extremely difficult to do. Just over 7 birdies per round!? Thats more impressive to me than 4 rounds without a bogey. 7 birdies per round means you are getting birdies on almost every other hole. That is a ton of GIR (very minimum 42% GIR assuming no chip ins) and very few putts.

Last season on the PGA tour, the highest average for number of birdies per round was just under 4.5 (Spieth). To have 4 consecutive days of 7+ birdies each day is very impressive and probably achieved less often than 4 consecutive bogey free rounds.

30 birdies because I'm assuming the score is gonna be lower.

You're kidding, right?

30 freaking birdies.  Even with 15 bogies you're still 15 under...!

30 birdies for certain.  If I’m good enough to make that many birdies, there’s no way I’m also making that many bogies.

30 birdies, no question. Like @David in FL said, even with 5 bogeys a round you're still 15 under for the tournament. I'll happily take that :-)

Did OP mean to add the caveat that with the 30 birdies comes 30 bogies such that your score would be the same at the end of the tournament?  If so, then I’d probably take the 72 pars just for the consistency.

But I’m also the guy who when playing Madden football and would try to take the opening kickoff and run every play for 2-3 yards with the goal of maintaining possession for the entire half and scoring a touchdown as the half ended - so maybe I’m not the right person to ask. ;)

I’d love to play four rounds without a bogey.  But 30 birdies, that’s a lot.  I’d still take it if it was 20.

Seriously.

I don't make many bogeys, but I don't make many birdies either. With 30 birdies (7.5 per round), I'd probably shoot -4 to -6 each round, pretty easily.

Ill take no bogeys. Im usually good for 2 or 3 birdies in an average round, so that puts me at -8 to -10 for 72 holes. Good enough to win most the tournaments i play in..

Yeah, mostly. Regional am tourneys. I usually attempt to qualify for some national stuff. I play in unofficial stuff like clambakes with local PGA pros too. Most of them suck, but a few of them are practically web.com level players that can shoot in the 270's pretty easily.

I voted 30 birdies, because that would be definitely be above my normal amount. I don't make very many bogeys normally anyway so I think 30 birdies would make for a lower score than bogey free. I average right around 3 bogeys a round at my home course so 30 birdies would make for -18 over 4 days which would be pretty good.

30 birdies. But I'd consider the bogey-free tournament if you threw in a nicely cooked cheeseburger.

Sure, but where's the cheese?

30 birdies. I would prolly shoot 22-28 over on the remaining 42 holes considering current level of play on courses below or around 6200-6400 yards which I usually play.

On a 6600 or longer course or any serious stroke play competition (which I have never played), it would be a toss up since not sure 30 birdies would offset the damage/carnage on the other 42 holes. Plus I would impress the living daylights out of myself if I shoot even one full round, let alone four straight bogey free rounds on anything of that length. Doesn't say I can't have a couple of 3 odd birdies sprinkled in over 4 days additionally. Honestly me not making any bogeys for 4 straight days sounds like an alien concept. That would be a hell of a tournament.
