Wait, I thought we've been through this weight shift argument years ago. Again? I wish I could find a better way to post selected tweets, but if you expand the tweet below you can get yourself into a rathole.

And Mike Finney does Mike Finney things. Oy.

So not worth it.

P.S. That swing isn't terribly representative of Grant's pattern, from what I know. Maybe he was hitting a low shot or something. @mvmac?

I think Brandel was cherry picking where he took the screenshot. Maybe he was hitting a low shot but these swings below are a better representation of Grant's swing when he was more "stacked". Brandel is doing the same thing with Tiger in that right pic, Tiger is into his transition by then.

It would be nice if Brandel would let it go since Grant hasn't been associated with S&T for 7-8 years and now recommends a more rightward center of mass (slight) and pressure shift. Obviously the pressure was shifting right with Grant's swings below.

Also I don't see any instruction, other than S&T, which is promoting staying left on the backswing so I don't get the point of calling out Tiger or Grant. I guess maybe he's coming at it from an injury perspective, yet Grant has never had any issues with his back.

Because Chamblee needs to stay relevant and he does that by stirring controversy even if it doesn't exist and he has to make stuff up. Jason Day has back problems. Fred Couples had back problems during his career. Neither are associated with shifting left or stacking.

Lots of pros use Trackman or another launch monitor. He's not calling them out and criticizing their swings. He singles out Tiger because that's what moves the needle

Brandel criticizing Tiger's swing is like Lindsay Lohan getting in trouble. You know he's doing it for attention. I just roll my eyes and ignore it.

Bill Horschel calls out Brandel for being a "ghost" on the range. It's true, too: I've never seen Brandel on the range at the PGA Tour stops he's at that I'm at. I see other people out there, but not Brandel.

Considering that Tiger had suffered numerous injuries before 2013, I'd argue that the Foley changes were not what injured him. Couldn't possibly have been the obsession with working out and SEAL training that did him in.

But Brandel is trying to sell books promoting the old-style "raise the lead heel" on the back swing as the key to longevity. He also touts Lucas Wald as the best instructor out there, but most know he is in biz with Wald and "Jeffy" Martin.

It's high time that people realize that some of the media "whores" are there to collect "clicks" and "reads" and whatever stats are important to them! That's how they get paid! It doesn't matter whether or not what they say is true, it's how much of a ruckus it raises!

The media has gone straight to Hell in a hand basket!

I agree with Chamblee about one thing; 118 mph clubhead speed coming up against a locked left knee hurts just thinking about it. Eventually something's gotta give, and it did. So while he can be annoying at times, Chamblee sometimes makes good points. This is one of them. (The knee part anyway.)

“I mean, I’m convinced, honest to God, if Tiger walked out here tomorrow, I would have Tiger driving the ball straight in two minutes. Two minutes. Two minutes. Because there’s no way he can’t do – all he needs to do is move three inches to the right in his backswing. That’s it. It’s game over from there,” Chamblee said.

“He stays centered, and he drops down, and he turns left, and it’s like one bleeds into the next which causes another problem, which causes another problem, which requires another compensation. And you’ll never drive it good there,” Chamblee added while speaking to host Will Gray.

He also made this positive tweet about Tiger's swing.

Brandel knows how to get press and he's obviously being hyperbolic but there is some truth to what he's saying IMO. I posted something a few weeks ago on here saying that a more centered move with Foley wasn't a good fit for Tiger. Not saying a 3" move to the right will automatically turn him into 2000 Tiger but he is on the right track with what he's doing.

To his credit, he did mention four players that he claims had this release-for-high-ball-flight putter relationship. You can make some...subjective statistics out of that. :-P

Ya and the Simpson predicted that Trump would be president and that the USA would beat Sweden in curling...I don't see a direct correlation.

Dave Stockton and Billy Casper weren't high ball hitters.

Adam Scott and Justin Rose hit it high and are average or below average putters.

I get what he's trying to say but it's a stretch.
