June 10, 2014 - Lowest Score Wins is now available for purchase at http://lowestscorewins.com/! Get your copy, hot off the presses, and shoot lower scores GUARANTEED!

As some of you may know, @iacas (Erik) and I have been doing research over the past couple years for a golf book called "Lowest Score Wins". Our background work is 95% complete and the writing has begun :-P .

Indiegogo (we have raised almost $2000 so far in the form of purchased books) and I'm posting this here now as we know every golfer can benefit greatly from this book!

Right now, you can support Lowest Score Wins and get yourself a first edition book (as you know there is only one first edition) at almost $10 less than it will sell for after the campaign.

If you like the idea, even a little ;-) , please SHARE it with as many of your buddies, family and social network friends as you can.

Here is a section of the text from Indiegogo to give you an idea what the book is about:

What is "Lowest Score Wins"?

"Lowest Score Wins" (or "LSW") is a first-of-its kind book that will lower your score the very next time you play.

Lots of books promise to make you better… What makes LSW different?

Golf books have traditionally fallen into one of several categories: some purport to help you with the mental game, some will try to assist you with your golf swing, or your short game. These books, though helpful, often fail to help you lower your score… not today, not tomorrow, not next year.

By combining our rich statistical analysis, simple techniques, and gameplan building blocks, LSW will help you build your own Lowest Score Gameplan to shave strokes off your score quickly. We will show you specifically what to do and what pitfalls to avoid every time you play golf. We will show you techniques to quickly improve your game without overhauling your swing. We'll examine statistics - of the game's best, average, and poorest players - and show you how to take advantage of the skills you already possess.

What are people saying?

"I've worked with a lot of golf instructors in my time on Tour and as President of Medicus Golf, and Dave and Erik have created the simplest, best, most well-rounded approach to shooting lower scores that I've ever seen." -- Bob Koch, President and Founder of Medicus Golf

"Dave and Erik's approach to scoring is something I'd only dreamed about. I always knew there had to be an easier way… turns out there was!" -- Tim Macre, Head Athletic Trainer, NHL Buffalo Sabres

"I've spent my career helping people lower their scores as well as my own! The concepts in Lowest Score Wins provided me a roadmap to continue to compete against the younger guys while helping my students shoot their best scores EVER." -- Graham Gunn, former Canadian PGA Professional of the Year, Canadian Club Professional Player of the Year, and Senior European Tour Player

One final note. This campaign closes in only 29 days so time is limited if you want to grab a first edition copy of the book. Thanks in advance!

You can contribute, pick up your copy/copies, and find out more information here:

Here's a video we put together explaining the project.

We're very excited to be doing this. As the video says, it's a great and unique blend of technique, stats, strategy, and so on. If you play golf regularly at all, this book will help you lower your scores immediately by changing the way you play the game.

Again the URL you'll all want to click on is: http://igg.me/at/lswbook

(It's also in my signature… so you can get to it from any thread in which I've participated.)

THANK YOU!

Pleased to support this. Just a heads-up: if you use auto-fill in your browser, it might not fill in country and/or state (at least, mine didn't), and my first attempt said it was an invalid request. I figured it out the second time through :)

I gladly supported this cause. As being a follower of TST for a few years now, and have taken lessons from Erik at his facility in Erie, PA. I have great respect for Dave and Erik in their knowledge of the game of golf. As two people who have such immense knowledge of the golf swing, and how methodical their methods were in developing the 5 keys, this book will have the same respect for detail and analysis.

I personally did two contributions, the $65 dollar for the 4 paperback books, and the $75 dollar for 1 hardcover + 1 paperback. The reasoning is because that would give me 5 copies to pass around to my family and friends who golf. I would keep the hard copy for myself.

As someone who has taken lessons from Erik. I highly recommend the $395 contribution. The lesson itself is worth that. You'll gain more knowledge about the swing of golf and how to improve your golf game in one afternoon than you will probably have in your whole golfing career.

Please support this cause, it is worth it for yourself, and for the golf community who will benefit from this book being published.

On my iPhone so I'll just ditto Matt. I believe in these guys, and think this is going to be a great book. I've also purchased myself a hardcover as well as several paperbacks to gift out to friends. I encourage anybody who wants to improve and/or help a couple of guys publish their first book to at least pitch in the $15. I have no doubt it'll be worth it!

Just want to highlight that Dave and Erik will do a two day school at your hometown for $4995. Get 8 guys together and it's only $625 each for TWO DAYS of instruction - full swing, short game, strategy, gameplanning, the works. If the school is anywhere in the Southwest (looking at you SoCal guys) then I'll definitely be there so you'll get even more personal one-on-one instruction.

I'll definitely be supporting this. The information that these guys have is amazing. What I've learned about the swing so far from them has helped me out immensely and now to get a good look at how to develop a game plan will be great. Can't wait until the book is actually out.

I've really been looking forward to this book since I heard the whispers about its possible conception. I have found the "how would you play this hole?" threads to be fascinating and really believe that ANY player at ANY level will see significant change in their ability to score better simply by avoiding the bad choices that railroad you into big numbers. Will it make you a better swinger of the club? No, but it will get you into situations where you have the best opportunities to walk away with a good score.

You often hear good players talking about playing the odds or going with the high percentage plays, this book will teach what that really means and how to play that way.

Yours in earnest, Jason.

I dont know if I will learn as much as some people-I have my own theories tested over time-But youre right that $15 or $40 is not a lot in golf and you can easily make that back beating your buddies. Im in for a few copies as soon as I get home.

    • Day 76 - Pretty sore today, so I opted for putting over my Stack session. Primary focus was on starting line, as my putting has been pretty poor this year.
    • Been a bit of delay in updates but I needed to come back east as my mom's health has taken a serious turn for the worse. In a 3 day span we learned she had a tumor to she has stage 4 cancer and stopped eating and drinking for the most part. She has had a rough 3 months but certainly didn't think we'd be at the point of setting up hospice for her. My mom was never into any sports really other than following the Red Sox because my dad was a big fan. She always cared about what we were involved in including asking about how golf went.  I have kept up with my 5 minutes of daily practice and will go to the gym here in NH tomorrow morning. Despite the somber nature of this trip my family has commented more than a few times about my weight loss so it's important to me to keep it up. I know my mom always wanted us happy in whatever we did so I'll continue with my fitness journey keeping that in mind.
    • Day 109- Putting drills on a putting green for 20 minutes.
    • Day 252: did a stack session. Did some slow rehearsal swings during breaks.
    • Day 82: 3/18/24 Tried a Stack session but could not certify my warmup. Finished with indoor chips and putting.
