Kid pulls gun on complaining group behind him. Young and stupid. Youth is wasted on the young, they say.

Yup. Not a big deal. People kill, not guns. A golf club could be used as a deadly weapon as well. FWIW, I do not carry a gun unless I am hunting, but I don't begrudge someone there right to do so.

It just reinforces my belief that golf isn't for everyone.   The kid shouldn't be playing golf.   He should be playing another sport more suited for his gun toting ways.   Why keeps a gun in golf cart in the 1st place?   (Not meant to be a political, gun control/right question. )

Why keeps a gun in golf cart in the 1st place?

In Az. I bet there are more than a few folks that have a gun in a golf cart.  I was there recently and folks walk around with guns in holsters, felt like the wild west.

Golfer A: "It's out of bounds."

Golfer B: "No,it's not!"

Golfer A: "I have a bigger gun than you have."

Golfer B: "On second thought, it is out of bounds.   My bad.  Peace."

He sounds like he'd be good friends with Aaron Hernandez lol but seriously, carrying a gun is no big deal, in the south where I live anyway. It is a big deal to point it at someone for anything less than a life threatening situation, though. Sounds like the issue is this kid owning a gun in the first place. I carry a gun with me everyday and I've thankfully never had to unholster it, and I've met some pretty rude golfers. LOL But, when you're coming down MLK past dark where I live, you don't mind having a sidearm with you.

LOL.   Good answer, Strandly.     BTW, shooting is an Olympic event.   Maybe the guy was planning to do some shooting practice while playing golf.

      I honestly believe if they play longer tees by 300-400 yards, closer to or over 7,000 yards, more rough, tougher greens, women's golf will become much more gripping.  BTW, if it weren't for Scottie killing it right now, men's golf isn't exactly compelling.

      Yeah, that. It stands out… because it's so rare. And interest in Caitlin Clark will likely result in a very small bump to the WNBA or something… and then it will go back down to very low viewership numbers. Like it's always had. A small portion, yep. It doesn't help that she lost, either. Girls often don't even want to watch women playing sports. My daughter golfs… I watch more LPGA Tour golf than she does, and it's not even close. I watch more LPGA Tour golf than PGA Tour golf, even. She watches very little of either. It's just the way it is. Yes, it's a bit of a vicious cycle, but… how do you break it? If you invest a ton of money into broadcasting an LPGA Tour event, the same coverage you'd spend on a men's event… you'll lose a ton of money. It'd take decades to build up the interest. Even with interest in the PGA Tour declining.
