That is a gamma ray ozone box... get zapped with that and you lose 10 strokes off your handicap. 

Don't know what it is...

I can't say for sure, but my first thought was it was a small guitar amp or a PA system.  That cord and that plug it goes into makes me think that.  Or a karaoke machine.

It's an AED for bad swings.   You get into a harness and if you hit a bad shot, you get zapped.   It's a prototype to cure the shanks.
