None of you hit it longer than him, none.

Damn. You must not only be the best coach in the world but also have the uncanny ability to know how far every single person reading this thread can hit a golf ball.

He also cut the video short so we would not see the ball land well short of the fence.

So it seems like some of you guys have past experience with soon tourpro. I have to ask...Is he some whacko that is a legendary teacher in his own mind? Or is he just a guy that likes to troll around?

Just think how far he could hit it with Key 3 ... we'll just never know.

Probably just trolling around. I mean come one, the first video was just the same swing put back to back. I can do that with windows movie maker in about 15 minutes.

At least I hope he's a troll, if not then that is just sad.

I wish he wasn't.

I'd love for someone who actually knows a bit about the Mike Austin swing (or the swing that has his name but that he doesn't teach properly) to be able to actually tell people why it's so much better.

Until then, Occam's Razor would tell you that they don't because they can't.

I can make you hit it longer I added 50 yards once to a tour pro level player witin 5 minutes and 30 yards to his irons with his old swing mechanics but that dosnt prove anything, and more accurate but then again that dosnt prove anything

I hope you realize that the difference between the #1 tour pro in driving distance and the last tour pro is typically around 50 yards.

If you could do that, with anybody, it wouldn't be a secret.  It would be scientific breakthrough of epic proportions.

Heck 500 yards for @Ernest Jones is just his pitching wedge.

Will you teach me? I'm a tour level house thrower.

Few days old changing his mechanics is being done from that video and in progress.

None of you hit it longer than him, none.

The top video shows a really nice swing, but the speed of the ball does not look nearly fast enough to be over 250 yards, much less 350. I suppose some of it might be because of the cold? Unless, you are including the roll and slide you get on the ice in the background.

You really can't tell that kind of thing from a video like that. If the ball is moving straight away from the camera it will appear to be only shrinking in size, not actually going anywhere.

Let's not reach - there's plenty of actual material over which to quibble. :)

    • Day 359 - Mostly worked on chipping/pitching today.
    • Day 11 - Hoped for a range session but sadly a home improvement project went on three times as long as it should have. So more mirror work today.
    • Day 179: did some mirror work while watching the playoff game. Working on the early backswing stuff. It’s looking pretty good I think.
    • There are several things to unpack here.  First, start a MySwing Thread. It's always tough to help anyone out without seeing their swing.  Second, if you have a "big 2 way miss" and your "all over the face". There isn't a driver that's going to fix that. ... If there was the USGA or the R&A would ban it.  Third, The PING G LST is a great driver. ... just my opinion. But I think its a great driver. I'm not a fan of how it sounds, it's loud, but it performs great.  Forth, I would never cut down a shaft without a fitting. Just choke down a bit. Lots of folks, even some tour pros choke down a bit on the grip.  Fifth, why do you want to hit a pull fade?  Sixth, do you have a swing coach? I'm a firm believer in getting coaching as regularly as you can.  Seventh, I think waiting on a fitting until you feel you've achieved some consistency is a good idea. Again, on this note, work with your swing coach. He or she can help tell you when your ready to get fit for a new driver.  Finally, I think chasing better drives by constantly changing drivers is folly. Drivers are so good now a days, if yours is less than 5 years old it's probably fine. Having said that, if you like shiny things ... and I do... then go for it. Tinkering with your equipment can be fun. I know I like to make some changes in what's in the bag now a again.  Let us know how you get on.
    • You need to push into it, not let it push you forward toward the ball. Stand with your left hip 1" away from a countertop and make a simulated swing there, where your left hip doesn't touch the countertop.
