3 eagle putts. . .mine's the far one on the right closest to the hole . . .playing for a quarter a skin at the turn got us all out of a bogey rut.

Two pictures to kick off. One from a brief visit to Royal Troon earlier this week. This looks across the par 5 16th. The rough looks well set for the Open Championship in July. 

The other is of the 13th Green at Royal Dornoch from my first game there of the year just a couple of weeks ago.

I got to play a match at Trump National GC Washington DC in Sterling, Virginia over the weekend.  This is the view from the first tee, with the 18th coming toward us on the right, and the Potomac River in the distance.

To the right is the standard Trump waterfall, not running at the time, with a great terrace on top.

And my thanks to @kennysunstonelinks for a photo of Royal Dornoch, perhaps my favorite of all the courses I've played.

The 8th hole at Frisco Lakes Golf Club. Everything else Ive ever played is practically a goat farm compared to the stuff you all have shared.

Played a private track called Lake Winnipesaukee. This is the 1st hole.

I played the Royal Gems course just East of Bangkok this week,we've talked about it for a couple of years but finally got round to it.

It's a replica course with the back 9 of Augusta and,among others,holes from Troon,St Andrews,Sawgrass,Oakmont and the Belfry on the front 9.

A good day.the likeness of holes are very impressive.The course is still very young,only 4 years and once all the trees mature it will look even more like the originals.

Cost was around 125dollars including cart and caddy.

While some of those are pretty good… Sawgrass is backward, and the 3rd at Oakmont is way, way, way too flat.

Yes it was great fun.All the holes were instantly recogniseable except for the Winged Foot par 3,which I couldn't remember.By the way all my memories of the holes are "tv memories"
